Fábrica De Chocolate — Restaurant in Querétaro

I hadn't written a review of this place because the service was good, good coffee and it was not one of my "go to" places in QRO, but this trip I have come in several times and never had an issue, except for today. They have a promotion that you buy a reusable cup and every time you buy a coffee with your cup, you get 2 free churros. I've used it several times without any issues but today the employee told me that the promotion didn't apply to my cup. To make things worse, the employee told me "he would do me the favor of giving me the free churros for this one time" but that it was a one time thing. At the time there were 3 employees behind the counter and I believe one of them was the owner or manager who is actually the person I talked to asking about my churros. I'm writing this because I'm tired of false advertisement and people thinking that consumers are ignorant and complacent. I hope this review is viewed by customers and management and, if it is false advertisement, customers don't spend money for a plastic cup that serves for absolutely nothing. If the advertisement is is true and correct and it was just a miscommunication of their employees, then I hope management takes the time to retrain them. In any way, by no means, should a customer be told that they are going to do a favor just for this one time. The employee should have apologized for the misunderstanding, explained to me what the actual promotion is and just walked away. If he would have done that, I wouldn't have written this review. I love chocolate... Well, I love milk chocolate. I'm generally not that into dark (real) chocolate.

This place has a nice atmosphere. There is cool art pieces on the wall, a huge thick slab of a tree trunk as your table, and smoke from churro preparation. Street performers can be heard outside (on Sunday at least).

The food is good but the service was very poor. We felt very rushed to order as soon as we were seated and weren’t given an option on where to sit. Inside it’s incredibly smoky that we couldn’t enjoy our desserts without choking. While ordering the lady was very short with me and didnt allow me to ask a full question without cutting me off.
