Bahia e Brasa Rodizio — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

We went to this restaurant twice during our fortnight stay. 1st time we could not fault it but the second time was dreadful. We were seated outside until our table was ready then ushered through and told who our waiter would be. Asked if it was our first time here and said no. He explained the wooden block colours on the table again and then asked us for our drinks order. Just a rose wine and a beer. Water arrived first about 5 mins after the interaction with the waiter and a further 5 mins til the wine was served. The beer did not arrive until we had finished our salad starter and after we complaint had not yet been delivered- some 20 minutes later and the maitre d also brought an additional beer which we told her to take away. The service tonight was awful. The waiter didn’t come back until we were ready to leave to offer a second drink. It wasn’t particularly busy this evening whilst we were there. The salad bar was good food and the meat brought round to us was in the main very good although they do not seem to cook their beef products anything above a medium rare. We had lots of rare offerings on our first visit. But tasted delicious. Puddings we gave a miss on the second visit as the mousse was too gelatinous and tasted more like rubber than a mousse. Amazing Brazilian dining experience! Definitely one of our favourite restaurants accros the resort. Reservations are recommended, but it doesn't seem to be a problem to just rock up unannounced! On arrival, you're seated pretty quickly, and the staff are attentive immediately. The Brazilian concept of each course coming out separately helps spread out the tasting of dishes while dining and chatting. You're in control of the pace with your 'yes and no' table marker. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The standard of the food served is fantastic, all served from the large rotisserie grills and each meat brought to the table on skewers. The starters or sides are in a section to help yourself, choose from a vast delicious salad bar. The whole experience started with salad, then from the grill we had chicken, pork loin, sausage, brisket, New York steak, sirloin, garlic bread, all beautifully cooked and presented with a tasty crust from the grill and served with a rice and mashed potato. If I can leave a worse review I would , made the reservation with concierge in our building and they sent me a confirmation text confirming 8pm, the super rude waitress names Saria was extremely rude and basically told us no we have you for 10pm, meanwhile the restaurant was half empty! After ten minutes of attitude rolling eyes and back and forth she said she would seat us and when she did she went over to the waiters whispered something and pointed and laughed (don’t know what was said) but as the service and quality of the food came out we figured it out and every ten minutes the hostess would pass by and whisper with our waiters.
