Capricho Breakfast / Dinner Breakfast Food 4.5/5 Service 3/5
Breakfast Buffet also amazing with plenty offerings for all. I really enjoyed the Tuna appetizers they have and the fresh juices and shots. Every breakfast we would grab them and they where all amazing. The smoked salmon was great as well. However there was a red died fish we had the 1st day and it was off, we decided to play it safe and not touch that option for the rest of our trip. The A la carte Breakfast Items here in our opinion where beat the flavors of Helios, my wife and I enjoyed the Rancheros along with the other a la carte Items.
We did run into 2 Issues at this restaurant however. I was eating a cured salmon off the Buffet and a piece of clear plastic was inside it. The piece looked like a piece of glass. Luckily I didn't chew to hard on it and there was no Issue. The chef and Matre de did come and apologies and offered us to come back for dinner the same night. We cancelled our Dinner at Bahia Brassa to return hoping for a better experience. (I wish we had not changed our reservation as I only head Great reviews for Bahia Brassa and we wouldn't be able to get there)
CAPRICHO Dinner FOOD 3.5/5
Tableside Guacamole Octopus Gorditas Tongue Tamal Vera Cruz Ceviche Yucatan Lime soup Red Snapper Cacao Nib Crusted Tenderloin Yellow Corn Timbal Traditional Churros
We had tableside Guacamole which was nice just needed a touch more seasoning. The chef making the guacamole was very friendly and great with us. The chips to me where a little stale and needed salt. We really enjoyed the Octopus , Tongue Tamal and Ceviche they were very good. I didnt really enjoy the lime soup as I have had it in the at a stall in playa del carmen so I wanted to try it again however was disappointed with how this one was. The red snapper we ordered was delicious however we ordered it stating a dairy allergy and it came on a risotto with cheese. There seems to be a disconnect as when we placed the reservation with our Butler it was stated. Then again with our Hostess, Then again with our server. And for some reason we had to do this multiple times throughout our whole trip. Constantly repeating the same allergies 2-4 times through each restaurant like there is no real process. Anyways the food did come out a second time again with the chef coming out and letting us know he was not aware of our allergies. The Corn Timbale was small and sweet. The churro was very dry almost stale.
Food was had some hits and some misses. Breakfast is...

Ours the most favourite Restaurant is “Capricho”. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious and varied breakfast that catered to all our dietary needs. Every day brought something new and exciting to the table, with fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and beautifully presented dishes that started our day off perfectly. It’s clear that the chefs put great care and attention into crafting each meal, and we truly felt pampered throughout our stay.
For my wife’s birthday, Capricho’s whole team went above and beyond, created a special menu just for us that was absolutely outstanding. We could tell that a lot of thought went into ensuring everything was perfect, from the first course to the last. Their efforts truly made my wife’s birthday celebration one to remember.
We would like to say thank you to Capricho’s team, Manager- Daniel , Chef- Eduardo Torres, Chef- Mariana, Chef-Juan and TRS’s Executive Chef- Fidel.
We will definitely be coming back for 3rd time! Thank you again for making our time so memorable—we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this incredible team for anyone looking for exceptional food...

We so regret not coming to Capricho more. The food and service were consistently on point.
Highlights:
-Build-Your-Own-Coffee bar (with liquor!) *Tip: order an iced coffee from your server and bring it to the station to add lots of booze ;) * -Crepe station -Mini croissants with serrano ham -Whole fried fish for lunch (I had red snapper and it was phenomenal - ask for the catch of the day) -Pasta
Although we didn’t get the chance to have one, it looked like other people were ordering delicious milkshakes or smoothies, so check those out!
The plating and quality of the a la carte dishes were top notch. If you prefer buffet style, Helios does have slightly more/different options. But Capricho ended up being our favorite breakfast...
