We decided to try the Japanese restaurant at the resort, which required a booking, on our second night. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations compared to similar restaurants at resorts with the same star rating. One major problem was the fume hood, which wasn’t working effectively. As a result, a lot of smoke and fumes from the cooking lingered, causing discomfort for some guests, especially those seated closer to the grill. Additionally, the setup where the chef was cooking for both sides of the table meant one side completely missed the presentation, which felt unfair and diminished the interactive aspect of the meal. The food itself left a lot to be desired. While the variety was minimal, the portions were also disappointingly small. The sushi was underwhelming, with too much rice and lacking flavor, and the meat portions were far too small to be satisfying. By the end of the meal, I was still hungry. The dessert was especially disappointing and I noticed several plates of barely touched desserts left behind. Overall, there are a lot of room for improvement in terms of food quality, portion sizes, presentation, and even basics like the fume hood. While it’s worth trying if you’ve never experienced this type of dining, for me, it didn’t compare well to similar restaurants.

Absolutely fun time. Enjoyed the showmanship. Our chef was friendly and engaging. Kept our whole group entertained. And the food was delicious.

It was a great experience for us and would definitely do it again. The chef was entertaining and the food was very good. It was a 5 course dinner and the only thing i couldn’t eat while pregnant was the raw fish which was only given with the appetizer. For my 5 year old wasn’t much he would eat but he got full off the delicious stir fried rice with chicken so...

So we stayed at IBEROSTAR hotel/resort, and when we went to Hashiru, the staff sat us down and we waited about 15 mins until our chef came. Then the food was delicious but they probably could have a bit more diversity. But the kids loved it, and it...
