Starbucks Coffee — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

This Starbucks was near one of the boards you have to check for gate information. I went in to get a slice of banana nut bread but they didn't have it so, I ordered the croissant sandwich and bag of nuts. Total $6.47 US, I paid with a US 10 dollar bill. I was given MX change which I felt was odd but I know it happens. What I later learned after getting a slice of cake from another establishment is the change equalled about 50 cents...wtw, what happened to the $3 dollars I should have received as part of my change. I went to a US establishment because I thought I could trust the brand and know what to expect....

The kiosk is conveniently located before security, where you will have to wait if you are more than three hours before the flight. I paid nearly $10 for the coffee and donut. There is nowhere to sit. Cashier efficient smile but otherwise, not very friendly. Dutifully served me a frozen donut didn’t offer to heat. It didn’t tell me it was cold. AVOID! SCAM - Victor the cashier is overcharging gringos who pay with cash and giving back incorrect change. I realized it as I walked away. When I walked back to discuss it, he handed me money before I said anything but then tried to show me on a calculator why I was wrong. If so, why did he hand me money?
