TLDR: Looking for a delicious local breakfast in San Miguel de Allende - come to Café Casa México! Don’t miss it!
Simply - the best breakfast we’ve had in San Miguel de Allende! The food is super fresh and made to order (you can literally see and smell it happen!) Their selection of coffee is incredible, super varied, locally sourced, so the flavor is fantastic. The cups they serve coffee in are quite generous, but I couldn’t stop at one, and had two! If you don’t wish to stay for a full breakfast, you may also order something for take-out at their curbside window. The service is unmatched as well. The girls are super friendly, attentive; willing to accommodate any wish you may have. The atmosphere is wonderful too! Super fresh with nice local decoration, gentle music, and even some cute items (statues, cups, teapots, and coffee) for sale.
If we are ever back in town, we’ll definitely come back. Thank you so, so much Casa México! And...

We got a cucumber basil water, which I highly recommend! They made it fresh in the blender, so the flavor was light and fresh with every sip.
Our waitress brought out some bread with incredibly good jam.
I love a tasty chicken soup, so I had to try theirs. I'm so glad I ordered it, because it was filled with shredded chicken and the broth was amazing.
For entrees, we enjoyed the Chicken Mole, from a Oaxaca recipe, which was very tasty with just the right blend of spices and flavors.
The enchiladas plate was very good from the beans to the filling.
The means were just the right size and very good. Friendly service.
I'd highly recommend this quiet spot for really good food. Colorful, welcoming...

We came here as a group of four. I ordered the chicken soup, which was absolutely fantastic and exactly what I needed. I also got the chicken enchiladas, which were delicious and enough to share with my husband. He started with the tortilla soup, which he really enjoyed. Our friends got the enchiladas with mole and another plate of cheese enchiladas with verde sauce. We also got the guacamole to share. Everything was fresh and delicious. The menu is simple but everything hits.
Definitely a great quick and casual place to get some good home...
