Lolita's Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Sonora

I normally don’t write negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share my recent experience. I visited this restaurant about a year ago and had a wonderful time—the service was excellent, the staff was warm and hospitable, and the food was flavorful.

Unfortunately, my visit on July 26th, 2025 was very different. The food was served cold and lacked seasoning—it was quite bland. The servers we had didn’t clearly explain where to get water or tea, which made things confusing. Additionally, the restroom was messy and not well-maintained, which added to the overall disappointment.

During our weekend getaway we stopped at Lolita's Seafood Buffet Restaurant for brunch. there wasn't too many buffet restaurants in the area so this was an obvious choice to try different kinds of cuisines. As we walked in the restaurant the atmosphere felt authentic have the aroma in the air was so wonderful! We even saw a 7 man mariachi band performing! the waitress was very attentive and also was able to give us the extra attention and patience needed to break through the language barrier. Lol! Great Food!!! You won't be dissapointed. Very tasty and with a lot of flavor. If you are a fan of Mexican food,this is the place to go for original and fresh Mexican plates. The buffet on the weekends are very busy. You should get early because there is a waiting list of about an hour sometimes. Excellent, very clean and professional service. Great Prices.
