Sunday. December 31, 2024. New Year's Eve. Late lunch.
We visited the sister Birreria to this joint, Birrieria El Ceboyo, in June of 2022. When we parked, the restaurant next door had quite a few customers, but this restaurant was empty. This is an open-air restaurant with no windows. A teenaged waiter handed us some laminated menus. I ordered a Vampiro with asada for 50 pesos, which is basically a tostada. I also ordered a birrieria taco and an asada taco (35 pesos each) with crispy corn tortilla shells. The vampiro and tacos were all freshly cooked up by the chef and they tasted great with all the fixings we topped on them. The 12 different bowls of taco fixings are free! The chef even gave us a cup of the Birrieria sauce.
My wife and I shared the Frijoles Charros, charred beans, for 35 pesos. I thought these would be like blackened refried beans, but they were more like Mexican baked beans. They tasted good, just wasn't what I had been expecting. This is a great, inexpensive taco joint to visit if you are super hungry. I personally recommend...
Read moreThis is the place if you're looking for amazing tacos. Specifically the suadero (brisket) tacos were so delicious. Perfectly seasoned and just a bit crispy pieces with a balance of moisture. Can't recommend enough. The large parrilla is excellent for several people. We were a large party of over 20 and they took care of us efficiently and super friendly service. The owner is very personable and the staff very professional. I'm impressed and can't wait to go back. I almost forgot about the stuffed potatoes. Very cheesey and buttery with plenty meat of your choice....

We had a Pastor Taco, Chicken Taco and a grilled chicken taco with 3 types of cheese. All 3 were excellent, but the grilled taco was amazing! The young man who helped us decide what to get was great as well. Too many try to get you to buy the most expensive thing on the menu, but he recommended the grilled taco and it was great. The red sauce they give you is also really good but hot. If you don’t like hot, skip the sauce. We will...
