Good for Chisinau, but could be better in the absolute.
Let's face it : I like good food, I enjoy good pizza, but I have never been able to eat a good pizza in Chisinau.
About Pizza, there is a chain of restaurants called Andy's pizza, all over the town, they are not good but they are not bad and they improved their standard a bit since last time I came, but I would not swear that they use fresh dough instead of frozen one.
On the other hand, Caruso pretends to make a pizza like in Italy, and I am sure that they do it with fresh dough.
The problem is that there is not a qualitative difference between what Caruso has to offer and what Andy's pizza offers.
For instance if you want to make a good pizza dough, it's normally a 2 or 3 days process, when you let it maturate in the fridge.
Maybe they do it like that but I didn't feel it in their pizza.
Caruso is central but not so, they have a strong competition. If they want to exist, they ought to offer exceptional products, that we can expect with their motto.
And they don't do it.
So ok, they give a correct prestation, but I would not tell myself, what about going to Caruso.
This explains my note, and I hope that my review will help them, so that they can enhance...
Read moreI visited this Italian restaurant with high hopes, but unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed. First and foremost, the atmosphere leaves much to be desired. The restaurant attempts to create an Italian ambiance, but it fails to do so. The music and decor do not align with the overall style and leave a feeling of chaos. As for the food and drinks, I was extremely let down. The beer I was served was far from the flavor I expected. It seemed diluted and not fresh. I ordered a steak, but what I received resembled plastic on a plate. The meat was overcooked and devoid of any taste. Furthermore, even the napkins on the table were dirty, which raises concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant. Overall, this dining experience left a lot to be desired. I would recommend looking for other places for Italian cuisine and a...
Read moreReally bad experience. First of all, the food is terrible. I barely could even eat that pizza. I ordered Quattro Formaggi and the cheese was so bad. There were also literally large pieces of raw cold tomato with bones all over it. Then, it was tiny while the price is incredibly high compared to other pizzerias in Moldova. So, to recap, it is really overpriced, small and basically uneatable. The waiters were polite and friendly however, so I can't complain there. But, unfortunately, it didn't make the pizza any better. I'd suggest to avoid this place because you are getting scammed. They give you a cheap tiny pizza for the price as a huge tasty pizza in another place nearby. I do not...
