GastHaus — Restaurant in Rîșcani Sector

One of the most enjoyable and best meals I’ve had in a long time - I can’t recommend this place enough! There’s a small number of tables on the outdoor terrace but the inside is a really nice space, with modern decor and touches like the glass windows mimicking a church, which is unique. There staff were really welcoming and superb throughout my visit, having a good grasp of English and being able to offer recommendations thanks to knowing the menu well.

Service was fast and each of the dishes was exceptionally well presented and wonderful with the flavours. The paté starter was perfect - I’ve never had paté served as a scoop before and the toast was more ‘cake like’ than bread, but it was all delicious. The rabbit main was perfectly cooked with the right amount of sauce and everything rounded off with the wonderful cheesecake desert. Again this had unique touches, with the biscuit being sprinkled over the top rather than being as a base. The recommended wine was great value and staff kept glasses topped up nicely throughout.

With the pleasant atmosphere, such amazing food and the staff it was a highlight of my visit to the city...

Highly do not recommend this place, as treating a client is awful. You could have a good kitchen, but an awful service it’s a 1 star at way.

Me and my husband have included breakfast with our hotel accommodation. We waited one hour to know that they didn’t cook it because a new guy didn’t know how to write our order. After they bring just some dish which were not our order but already cooked. And after we left in hurry, because we are late for 30 min for our booked excursion and run after us because coffee is not included (of course nobody told us about before) and scream that we need to pay 100 mdl. Guys, we are late for our first excursion for 80£ because of you, don’t u want to refund us??? After we asked in hotel, and our coffee was included in breakfast, so they charged us twice.

i really dont understand why this place has so many good reviews... The waitress was very friendly and nice and the drinks where good but very expensive. but lets come to the food we had the grilled trout and salmon and both fishes had as much taste as a glass of water, exactly no taste they definitely came from the freezer. from a restaurant with that high prices i would expect them to have very good food but the fish was neither fresh or good prepared it was just boring without any taste and that for 20€ per plate. so definitely the most expansive place i have been to in chisinau and the worst as well so i wouldn't recommend. better try local places they are way...
