Taproom by Litra — Restaurant in Centru Sector

I visited Taproom 27 several times during my visit to Chișinău, and overall, I was quite pleased with it. First of all, the entrance to the venue is tucked away in an alley, making it a bit difficult to notice when passing by. Inside, there are 5-6 tables and stools where you can sit at the American-style bar. The space is limited, so when I first went there, I couldn't find a place to sit. They have a wide variety of craft beer options. You can order beers in sizes of 330 ml, 500 ml (pint), and 1500 ml (pitcher). They also offer beer tasting menus consisting of 4 glasses. The food menu is limited and somewhat confusing. Nachos and tacos dominate the menu, and there are a few sandwiches and salads available as well. On Wednesdays, they serve Buffalo wings. Everything is delicious, but the prices are above the average for Chișinău. I was here yesterday night and was unfortunately disappointed. I was told that menus were only offered in Cyrillic - somewhat surprising, so have Google Translate ready if you don't read Cyrillic. They also didn't have beer flights, nor a beer menu(?). They were out of their stout as well. The first server didn't seem to know much English (again Google Translate is your friend if you don't have decent Romanian). Overall I got the impression that this isn't somewhere that is welcoming for tourists/foreigners (other pubs/breweries in Chisinau are far better in this regard).

Mixed experience here. We stopped in on our first day in Chisenau and had a few really great beers. Today we decided to stop in for a late lunch. The food was okay. We ordered the chicken snitzel and pork ribs. The ribs and fries were luke warm, boarding on cold; the snitzel was much better. We did probably have high expectations based on pictures and reviews.
