AL RESTAURANT TARA — Restaurant in Žabljak

We went there because of the vegetarian options, which are usually rare in Montenegro.

We had Sataraš, French fries and Roasted Peppers/Zucchini. The sizes were allright, the prizes are high for Montenegro standards, but cheap for european 'tourist mountain town' standards. Sataraš was the best tasting one but the rest was allright as well.

Its a tourist restaurant for sure, but its fine if u want sth. warm and vegetarian inside of your belly.

Service was friendly, even though there is a language barrier. Our food came in a regular time I'd say, but it also wasnt crowded.

Alltogether, being vegetarian, this is a place you can go to, but dont expect it to...

A total disaster, no idea how an average of over 4 stars is possible here. A single waitress who is friendly but completely overwhelmed and doesn't speak a word of English. Told us that it could take longer for our food. OK, we could deal with that. We ordered starters and main courses plus drinks, first nothing came for ages, then everything (starter and main course at the same time), drinks were completely forgotten. An exceptional restaurant with brilliant slow cooked meat (we ate the lamb) and literally the best waiter I've ever seen - Aldin. He was very attentive, upfront about the wait time for food, made great suggestions about what to order and was genuinely just a friendly good bloke.
