Podgora — Restaurant in Žabljak

We visited this restaurant two years ago and had one of the best barbecue experiences ever — juicy, flavorful meat straight from their own butchery. Naturally, we came back this summer hoping to relive that amazing meal.

Unfortunately, this time was a big letdown.

We waited for over an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, the barbecue was dry and overdone — it tasted like it had been cooked long ago and just reheated before serving. Not at all what we remembered.

We also ordered two plates of pork fillet. The meat was okay, but the portion was disappointingly small. The sides were even worse — the baked potatoes were almost inedible, and the French fries were overcooked and hard.

We really wanted to enjoy our meal, but sadly, the quality and service this time didn't live up to our expectations. Hoping this was just an off day, because they can do much better — we've...

Food was okay, but the experience was quite bad. Everything is SO slow: It took 30 minutes for the salads to arrive, 10 minutes for a single water bottle, another 20 minutes for simple pancakes and 10 minutes for the bill. Oh, and we had to constantly remind them about our orders.

Our waitress didn't speak English. She got our orders wrong even though she confirmed them with us. The following didn't impact the review, just wanted to include it cause it was funny: We asked for rice, we got fries. We asked for the bill, she brought us beer. We asked for "chyyot" (bill in Russian), she brought a shot. We finally showed an image of a bill and she understood, though she seemed frustrated.

Overall, the food didn't justify the amount of wait and miscommunications (the food was average at best). NOTE: There seemed to be 2 waitresses fluent in English, but we noticed only...

According to google and the sign on the door the place is supposed to be open at 7am. At 7:10 there was nobody there so I waited a bit. A lady opened the door and said that the waiter will arrive in 10min so I sat down and continue waiting. At 7:30 a very sleepy waitress came to me. I ordered priganice and she said that they don't have it. I asked her what can I order from the menu and she said everything else. I asked for pita with cheese and again she said they don't have it at the moment. I was used to the waiting and asked her how long will it take to make it and she said very rude till 9 o'clock. I ordered just an espresso which they served me in very dirty mug. Very disappointing. If you are not in the mood of working this early in the morning just change the opening time....
