Awful experience from start to finish. When I arrived, I was given the paperwork for another guest and the rude staff demanded that I owed them money for the room, despite me showing them evidence that I had already paid via booking.com. I was shown down to my room, which was substandard to say the least: it wasn’t very clean and the bed was creaky. The view was OK, but to the left of the balcony was a building site. Now, here comes the best bit…the entire hotel was booked out for a wedding reception, and I wasn’t given any prior notice of this, despite the communal areas being completely taken over by the wedding party. Due to all the rooms being below reception, all I could hear from my room was the unbearable sound of high heels on the tiled flooring above. I went to complain and asked to move to a different room, and they showed me the room NEXT TO where I already was, which, for obvious reasons, wasn’t an option! I was told that the wedding would be finished by 9pm, but the hotel is a very steep unlit trek from the main restaurants in the town, so it wouldn’t be feasible for me to walk this on my own after dark in order to go out for dinner. I ended up finding alternative accommodation much closer to town (and cheaper and much nicer), and I did receive a full refund - and a backhanded apology.
Rude staff, average location, average views and not good value for money. I would...
Read moreThis place is wonderful. Extremely easy access from the road with plenty of parking. Staff is professional and very friendly. I especially like to praise Petar P. and his friend Veljko. Those boys were hard working, helpful, fast, professional and always sporting smile on their faces. Rooms are clean and pretty spacious. We were in Room 14 with sea view and balcony. Views are simply stunning. We were waking up every morning to a magnificent view of St Stefan island. The island was actually visible from our bed. It showed its face as soon as we opened our eyes. Even though the hotel is some distance from the sea, we could still hear waves crashing and smell the fresh sea air. We slept like logs. We haven’t eaten in the hotel so can’t comment on lunch and dinner but breakfast was included and was more than plenty. You will have dozens of choices of eggs, crapes, pancakes etc… Freshly squeezed orange juice is a must. To get to the beach and the island you will have to descent 320 stairs and then climb back up again. Yes, we counted them all. Our legs were jelly at the beginning, but at the end of our stay we had buns of steel. Overall, this was a great experience. Will definitely...
Read moreWorse restaurant experience of my life
If I could I would not even give them one star, what a joke of a restaurant. We went there for the viewpoint but I wish we hadn’t because it was the worse restaurant experience of my life without being dramatic. I ordered fish steak and got literally canned tuna with cold tomato sauce for quite some prices. My friend ordered fruit salad which was supposed to come with ice cream and whipped cream and she got half a banana and one kiwi without any ice cream. It looked like a 5 year old kid had cut the fruits. When we asked for an English menu the waiter wouldn’t give us one. Then we asked for a glass of wine but they said they didn’t have only a glass of wine which is ridiculous and rather tried to sell us the expensive wine bottles. When we complained about the horrible food even the waiters laughed about it and said people come for the view and not the food. I think the behavior of the waiters was however even worse if that’s even possible. All the waiters and also the manager to whom we spoke should definitely visit a course for how to behave with guests because we were told we were only complaining to get a discount on our food as if we couldn’t pay for it and we should “men up” what a sexist comment. I’ve never been treated so poorly in any other restaurant. The waiters or managers never even pretended to understand our concerns. When we left we talked to two guys who were sitting at the table next to us and they told us they didn’t even finish their food because it was disgusting. Please don’t go there!
Bitte gehen Sie...
