MUSE RESTAURANT at Villa Geba Hotel is not recommended by me under any circumstances. As a global international traveller of many years across Europe, Americas and the Far East, I have never previously been attacked by staff the moment I entered a hotel reception area. I had merely walked in and asked if the restaurant was serving a lunchtime menu. The receptionist immediately demanded that I provide an up to date fully vaccinated CovID certificate firstly before entering the premises stating that all hotels are 'required by Law' to obtain full certification before allowing guests to stay at the hotel. I replied that I was not a hotel guest, I wished to purely eat a meal at your restaurant and to have use of the rest room. She was unable to answer my queries about which vaccinations were acceptable or to what extent was her definition of full certification. She refused my request to go in without offering any alternative solution other than fully updated certification.
I replied that the CovID Vaccination Certificate was a recommended mandatory requirement not a 'legally enforceable law' and I was not 'legally obliged' to provide anything other than my passport just to eat food in a restaurant or use the toilet (which was the only one available). The receptionist absolutely refused entry and did not suggest or even offer using a dedicated / segregated area or outside heated dining area to drink or eat. Many travelling guests have been previously vaccinated but may not yet qualify as FULLY VACCINATED due to ongoing additional timed required boosters but most hotels and restaurants accommodate such as the Five Star Hotel Maestral, Splendid, Dukely and Konoba Langust in nearby Przno offer to foreign and domestic visiting guests.
The extremely poor attitude and superior demands of the receptionist at the Muse made the statement that they wished to ensure that their vaccinated guests are safe and fully protected at all times from unvaccinated people who wish to use their facilities. Being a traveller crossing many borders and adapting to constantly changing circumstances, I understand fully the need for compliance with mandates that are reasonably employed under governmental emergency powers, but have never encountered such aggressiveness and diabolical demanding attitude by hotel staff towards visiting guests. I said that I would write a Google Review, the receptionist's last words were - "I will look forward to reading it". The Muse Restaurant will NOT receive my recommendation, endorsement or patronage.

Your receptionist couldn't even tell the difference between describing someone being 'infuriated' as opposed to being physically upset and tearful of her obstruction. Rather than offer uninviting platitudes to meet under exactly the same unaltered conditions that prevented my previous allowance, I would be happier if you would consider employing alternative humane and hospitable realities which actually allow a human being to make use of your restaurant and toilet facilities under the current Covid compliance restrictions. This would be the right thing to do, rather then just blind refusal to the use of your rest room and a hot beverage to a weary 'politely querying' traveller. As the only open public place on a cold December Sunday in Sveti Stefan, being the Good Samaritan would be a good demonstration of not losing your humanity at a time of economic hardship across the globe, whilst you turn away those that do not certifiably qualify to use even your toilet facilities or the purchase of food and drink to a paying guest. This Christmas, be the Innkeeper that offers a stable round the back, rather than just uncaringly turn away everyone at...
ย ย ย Read moreOn vacation from Switzerland and this was the only negative experience we had in Montenegro. We tried to go here for dinner on our last night, my husband was wearing black shorts and a shirt. They initially told us that they were fully booked, but then went on to comment that they have a no shorts policy after 17:00. They didnโt ask my husband to change (we would have been happy to) but instead gestured to the restaurant over the road as being an option for us. We didnโt want to make a fuss and ruin our last night, so instead went over the road. In hindsight, itโs strange that they recommended the place over the road as it enabled us to see that they were in fact very empty and clearly not fully booked as they said. They actually closed their doors around 22:00, whereas Famelja Kentera was still reasonably busy. We felt they made a (wrongly placed) value judgement against us and for whatever reason didnโt think us worthy of their โhigh classโ restaurant. Aside from this very negative experience, we found the whole country to be very hospitable and simply want to warn other potential clientele that this restaurant wants to appear unnecessarily exclusive - of course we cannot actually comment on the quality of the food, only that the service and the first impression was very arrogant. Their clientele was much older and their โdress codeโ was not adhered to by many customers who left the establishment. As we say in German; โEs ist nicht alles Gold was glรคnztโ Appearances can...
ย ย ย Read moreThe restaurant offers a stunning view and commendable service typical of a five-star hotel. However, the food is subpar and not worth the price. Dishes lacked seasoning, were served lukewarm, and even the "warm appetizers" were not hot. Dessert was equally disappointing. For a comparable view at a fraction of the cost, trust the reviews and go someplace else. The restaurant should address the consistent negative feedback and consider hiring a new chef.
Dear Eugenia,
Thank you for your response. I only leave reviews when a restaurant is exceptionally good or unfortunately, exceptionally bad. In this case, it was the latter. To suggest that my review is based on a dislike for Mediterranean cuisine is absurd. I love Mediterranean food, but sadly, the dishes at your restaurant did not meet the mark.
Instead of explaining away the criticism or making assumptions about your customers, it would be more productive to listen to the feedback and aim to improve. Given the prices, the least you can do is acknowledge the critiques and strive...
