Food not prepared by Asians. Inauthentic flavor. I asked for sweet and sour chicken and asked it if it was Hong Kong style. They said yes but it was not and didn’t taste nice at all. They offered to switch it for something else on the menu. Didn’t bring the replacement dish till over 40 mins after the other dishes came out. I said I no longer wanted it as I was ready to leave and it wasn’t something I would want to re heat later. They insisted I had to have it and clearly started cooking it after I said I wanted to leave. I waited another 15 minutes and decided I was going to leave as the wait was too long. Went here to try it as conveniant as attached/next door to hotel we were staying at. We had spring rolls and were nothing like what we expected. Too big/heavy and stodgy for a starter. We asked what size and was told two and waiter made circle with hand and looked to be advising us two of them so we got one each but even one between us would have been pushing a starter. I used to love Kong—two years ago, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. However, my recent visit was a complete disappointment. The food was utterly tasteless, lacking any of the quality or flavor it once had. Worse, people were smoking inside despite clear "No Smoking" signs, creating an unpleasant and disrespectful environment. To top it off, the service was abysmal.
