O’comptoir — Restaurant in Agadir

Based on an excellent visit last year where I thoroughly enjoyed the steak I made sure to come and visit again and here is where the story begins.

My guests had a pleasant dining experience with no complaints. I will focus on my experience below and this is centred around the steak. Please note the service provided by the waiter for the rest of my party was very good.

In pursuit of replicating the experience last year, I ordered a T-Bone with mashed potato and vegetables. When asked how I would like the steak done I requested medium and confirmed my order.

Unfortunately my steak was cooked way past well done, I informed the waiter who asked what I would like done.

I asked for another steak cooked to medium, the waiter said he would go and enquire within the restaurant and when he came back his answer was that the steak was cooked to medium but the hot plate continued to cook it. This steak was sat atop perfectly cooked vegetables… based on the explanation given I accepted this was an argument I would not be winning and tried to make the most of the experience.

I have included a photo of the well done x 10 steak atop perfectly cooked vegetables. I guess the plate must have been left on top of a volcano whilst the rest of the order was sorted out, doesn’t explain why the vegetables did not burn though.

Tldr: nice location, the other items were good (my party’s experience), avoid the steak...

For anyone thinking of going herr PLEASE dont. I promise you for the same amount of money youre about to spend there (on crappy food btw) you can go to wayyy better Restaurants especially if youre with family. Their food literally gave me and my mom the worst food poisoning and it tasted soooo bad but we still ate because we were starving after swimming the whole day. We ordered a good amount of food and we were excited to see how it tasted, i hid my feelings about it but my mother was about to throw up on the SPOT. Also we ordered 2 mocktails and it was like 99% just ices with like 2 tablespoons of actual liquid in it. We ended up wasting 100dh+ on only those disgusting mocktails. Please dont ever go here unless you like wasting money and eating bad food. I promise im bot...

First lets start with the good. Great Location

Ok the bad and ugly now Food served was warm at best and my wifes pasta dish was cold. I complained and the waiter (Omar Olyade) proceeded to literally throw my wifes plate of pasta onto the table in front of me, then using a fork throwing the pasta in front of my face. Informed him that this is highly insulting and to get it out my way, however he carried on. Bill came and I asked for the dish to be removed from it and was angrily and rudely told no. Needless to say my advice is...
