I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, I really like the decorations and the whole vibe it gives off. The location is also ideal. Their food is really nice and the drinks too. On the other hand, there are a few things I don’t really like about it. First of all, the music is loud and the music selection is really bad. It’s like they’re looking for a playlist of viral TikTok songs and start playing it, which is irrelevant at the time of writing this review. We’re in December and the weather is cold, the decoration is Christmassy with the Christmas tree. I think a cozy Christmas playlist would be better. The second thing is the secret rules that all “fancy wannabe coffee shops” have, like don’t play cards while sitting with friends. I’m really confused. And especially that the waiter informed us in a very mean tone, as if this was an obvious rule or it was written somewhere. He could have been much nicer informing us and we would understand. All of these things make me feel confused about how to feel about the coffee shop. I hope they read my review and try to improve their service. Coming to the Vendôme is always a beautiful experience for me. The place is lovely to look at and the ambience is always pleasant wether you are alone or with friends. The coffee is nice and the breakfast is amazing. The staff are always super polite and attentive.
