Every time I go abroad somewhere, I seek out the local Korean restaurants - I think, partly because I end up missing the food of my childhood, and also, because it's interesting to see what differences there are between the restaurants in different countries. So I've grown up eating Korean food and I've also eaten Korean food all over the world. I have to say, Seoul Garden was pretty bad. I went there back around March of 2019. The prices are too expensive and the quality of the ingredients is mediocre. I guess the cheesy "bulgogi" is quite popular so I tried some as one of my friends ordered it, and I remember the cheese being bland, flavorless - I imagine it being a cheap wad of cheese sitting in the back of the freezer for a while before they toss it into the microwave. The ambiance and stuff was pretty decent, it's not anything spectacular but you know, they do try to have authentic Korean details like those stoves in the tables. That's always nice, you don't go to a restaurant just for the food. I remember there being a lot of Kpop played on the TVs. But I wouldn't go there for the food - truthfully it's not like it was spectacularly bad, but it's just so expensive for what you get that it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I think I'd be a lot more forgiving if the owners were local, as in Moroccan, because I certainly wouldn't be able to make exceptional Moroccan food. But the owner is Korean, so I find it difficult to understand why there's a lack of quality control in the kitchen. I do feel bad for those who go here with no previous experience with...
Read moreI’m Korean and everything was same tasty as I have eaten in Korea! but please don’t order neng-myeon(냉면) Totally different tasty like lemonnade soup with noodle. Without that, their food was great. Specially I recommend seasoning chicken (양념치킨) it is not spicy at all:)It was so good I will order again! kimchi is really tasty it was a bit old but it is common in Korea ,too. Jabchae is sweet perfectly but also dumplings and side-dishes were amazing too:) Bibimbob was good but not much special. Just simple bibimbab but dolsot-bibimbab was better than normal BibOwner is so kind and speaks english and Spanish, too! Waitress is so kind and gave us nice service :) I recommend here a lot! When I went imbab. to there dinner time, it was crowded with SoJu(소주) I think you guys should go more early. But they gave us at first second time but third time when we went there ,they forgot to give us Cola. There is one staff so I tried to understand but they need more staff for serving anyway I was satisfied with food so next time I will ask to bring cola when they forget :)...
Read moreOne star is too generous for the disappointing experience we had at this Korean restaurant. Our anticipation for an authentic Korean culinary adventure turned into dismay upon entering. The atmosphere was dominated by individuals focused on drinking and smoking, overshadowing any semblance of a genuine dining experience.
The nasty smell of cigarettes and the disruption from kids singing in a poorly soundproofed karaoke room detracted from any enjoyment. Surprisingly, the majority of patrons seemed more interested in beer and cigarettes than savoring Korean cuisine.
As for the food, it fell far below expectations—overpriced and lacking in authenticity. If you're seeking quality Korean dishes, this is certainly not the place to be. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for a true Korean food experience. This establishment feels more like a cheap bar than a...
