I came for a cozy dinner with my girlfriend at about 6:50pm, the restaurant was almost empty, I introduced myself to the lady at the front desk and explained the context (I didn't make a reservation but I would like to dine here and asked if it was possible to have a table for 2) and to my surprise the lady looked at her computer for a strange amount of time before making first eye contact to look at me and say "ok, if you leave at 08:00pm". So far, this was reasonable since I hadn't made a reservation, but the first thing that shocked me was that in a nearly empty restaurant, the lady denied us all the tables we had chosen with no clear justification and left us with the 1st floor as the only available option while maintaining her 08:00pm rule, We sat down and try to leave the weird reception behind when the waiter tells us that we are limited to the happy hour menu and that the kitchen will open at 08:00pm (very synched staff), after explaining to the waiter that we came for dinner and that if it is not possible we will leave, he then thought to check with the chef who agreed to serve dinner (the first good news of the night, we can have food in a restaurant) As soon as they started serving us food, I realized that it was hard for me to enjoy the food after such a welcome and I felt bad for not leaving at the first disrespectful interaction.
Conclusion: rude hostesses, pushy servers, dessert needs...
Read moreI came here with my wife and mother in law. We didnt know the kitchen close at 3 they should have informed us that. But what truly disturbed me is how the staff wanted to quickly rush us out. They asked if we had a reservation I said no and they sat us at the bar, mean while apparently the kitchen will close and they have multiple seats open! The waiter basically tried to rush us out and didn’t try to even explain anything on the menu. The managers excuse was that there is a communication problem but that would be impossible as my wife is Moroccan as is my mother in law and they both talked yo the waiter in darija. We honestly felt very disrespected and basically was told to order quick and go. Never have I felt so bad leaving a restaurant it was very demeaning especially in front of my wife and mother in law? We left the restaurant still hungry and went to another restaurant Jia to finish our lunch jia was very nice and...
Read moreBig disappointment: this restaurant used to have not only the best cuisine in Casablanca but also the most attentive service. Today, while the gastronomic experience is consistent, the service significantly deteriorated and it ruins the experience.
The service seemed unprofessional and not in line with the restaurant’s price point. For example, the waiter brought the appetizers to our table but did not explain what they were. He informed that there was no tuna available except for the maki, we said we’d take the tuna maki and he replied he wasn’t sure there was any tuna after all. We said we’d share makis, yet he brought a soy sauce plate for one only. He forgot one of the dish and made a mistake in the order when we signaled the missing dish. These are small examples that the dining experience has deteriorates. That’s too bad as it has been consistent for years! Hopefully they’ll manage to...
