This is the best restaurant I tried in Taghazout. The rfissa is deeply flavorful, with tender shredded chicken, lentils, and perfectly spiced broth soaked into layers of msemen, it tastes like a homemade dish passed down through generations. The couscous with kefta and chicken is rich and generous, the meat juicy and fragrant, served with fluffy couscous and vegetables that melt in your mouth. The Moroccan salad is fresh, beautifully seasoned with herbs, lemon, and olive oil, simple and delicious.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with soft lighting and Berber-style touches that make you feel relaxed and welcome. The terrace is private and secure, a peaceful little escape tucked in the heart of the town. Even though you are in the center, it feels like a quiet retreat, perfect for a slow lunch or dinner after a day...
Read moreThe restaurant is just next door of the very popular boozer. It's nicely done with some inside tables but mostly on the terrace. Some of the reviews mentioned very long waiting hours so I stopped it😉. We got our food a few minutes under an hour with 12 people ahead of us. I think that's a fair amount of time to wait for home made food.
We ordered fairly quickly, got our drinks straight away. We had Chicken Pastilla and Kefta & Egg Tajine with a salad. Both meals were very tasty, plentiful and nicely spiced (Moroccan cuisine is not spicy!). The Pastilla looked small ish but it had so much stuff init ..... I struggled to finish it all off😁😉. We liked the food, the friendly welcome and service and would return anytime again to try more...
Read moreThe best food in town and one of the best I’ve had in Morocco overall! A must try, especially the local foods such as tajine and pastilla. Also a great choice for people who are health conscious - the chicken pastilla had crushed almonds on top instead of sugar, yet maintained the authentic taste and texture; the avocado smoothie had no sugar added. All the salads were super fresh. I’m definitely going to miss this place, Fatima and the staff are really great hosts, can’t wait for next visit to...
