4.2/5*

The special cous cous featured a wide variety of ingredients; Lamb, chicken, egg, carrot, pumpkin, caramelised onion, chickpeas, prunes, dates, walnuts and almonds. It had noticeable spices/herbs, consisting of; Clove, cumin, turmeric, ginger, pepper, paprika, coriander and parsley. This was a fruit salad of meat, vegetables, nuts, fruit, seeds, spices and herbs- delicious.

The Zaalouk dip was the best we have tried so far. The eggplant was still somewhat whole and noticeably very fresh, juicy and soft. The spice blend was the winner; Cumin, fresh chilli, turmeric, pepper and clove.

The Berber salad was very fresh and sweet, featuring; Tomato’s, parsley, coriander, onion, cumin, pepper and paprika. This differed from regular Berber salads, as it was the first with added spices to the mix.

The sardine ball tajine was salty with a nice sardine flavour. The balls were a little on the dry side, not offering much else but a salty-sardine taste. Perhaps some extra spice or caramelised onions could enhance this dish. Although, the vegetables were slow-cooked well and tasty...

There are 5 tables inside. Max. capacity is 11 people for these tables. But with an extra chair they increase it 12. But it was very max. so no more people can sit inside. We were 5th table with 3 people. We ordered our dishes and it took 1 hour 55 minutes to have them. One of them was spagetti with chese. It is really small place with kitchen so you have to have for a long time. And may be 20 people asked to have a sit but as i said it is small restaurant. So if you have a dinner there go there with a full stomach. Dishes were tasty and the price was reasonable but ofcourse cheaper...

Nestled in a charming alleyway inside the Medina of Essaouira, this cozy little spot was a delightful find. The outdoor seating gave it a lovely, authentic vibe; even with a bit of wind, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We tried a variety of Moroccan tajines, and every single one was absolutely delicious 😋. Rich flavors, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Overall, a great experience with good vibes, tasty food, and genuine hospitality. Definitely worth a visit if you're...

The food here....is WONDERFUL! We ordered the fish tagine and the Sardine ball tagine. Some of the best tagines we've ever had. Even an hour after eating it I was raving about it. So flavorful! This place is small, so come early. Trust me when i say, you gotta try that sardine ball tagine!! I really wish I could stay in Essaouira longer to try more of their dishes. I'm glad I found the place and others reviews convinced me to stop by. Fantastic food in an authentic setting. We will be back!
