We saved ourselves during the day so we could immerse ourselves, hearts, souls and tummies enjoying all three courses and it was totally worth it. Whilst alcohol is available we chose to have Al Fassia’s version of a lemonade which truly revived us after a busy day of exploring,
A final note of thanks must go to the attentive and truly kind team who cooked and served us. They were indeed the finishing touches to the elegant yet warm surroundings, with smiles, laughter and a warmth in their welcome you would be hard pressed to find anywhere. Thank you for your patience with my French and my partner’s Darija - we really appreciated the extra language lessons😃🇲🇦
Thank you to everyone at Al Fassia for helping to make our anniversary meal a truly memorable...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Al Fassia Aguedal, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The hotel is designed like a traditional riad, and it truly transports you to another world. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of peace and calm that was much needed. The hotel is designed like a square, with a stunning garden in the middle. The garden is composed of big trees, which provide shade and a sense of privacy. It was the perfect place to disconnect from my daily routine and simply relax. The pool was another highlight of my stay. Its emerald color was stunning, and I spent several hours lounging by the water, soaking up the sun. The lush garden added to the overall beauty of the hotel and made it feel like a true oasis. One of the standout features of the hotel was its restaurant, which is one of the most well-known in Marrakesh. The food was absolutely delicious, and I enjoyed every meal I had there. The staff and owner were fantastic, always there to help and also funny. They made me feel welcome and at home, and I truly appreciated their warmth and hospitality. One minor drawback of the hotel is its location, situated about a 15-minute drive away from the medina. However, this is easily manageable with a taxi ride. It's important to note that most taxi drivers in the area may try to overcharge you with prices multiplied by four, so it's recommended to agree on a fair price beforehand or force them to use the meter. Nonetheless, this minor inconvenience is outweighed by the tranquility and peacefulness of the hotel, and should not detract from the overall experience. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Al Fassia Aguedal, and I would definitely come back. The hotel is a true oasis of calm and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and...
Read moreI came to eat at your place yesterday for the umpteenth time. I have always enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the service, but the last two times I really did not find the service good at all.
Yesterday we had a reservation, and when we arrived, I told the waitress at the door that we had a reservation for 7 people under the name Nadia. I also mentioned that when I made the reservation, I had requested a table at the round tables inside. The waitress then suddenly said, “gher blati,” which I found extremely rude. The man at the counter, whom I assume is the manager, heard this and apparently found it completely normal to speak to customers that way. I told her that I had patience, but that I was only pointing this out so that they would know and could seat us at the right table.
Then we were seated, placed our order, and were told that we had ordered too little and needed to order more because those were the house rules. I have traveled the world and been to the most expensive restaurants, and I have never heard of a restaurant deciding how much you must order. I found this a bit disappointing because I still decide for myself how much or what I want to eat. When I asked for one salad, I was told that I had to order a second one, and later I was also told that I had to order a chicken pastilla.
The food was excellent, as always. The food at your place never disappoints.
But service is very important, because otherwise people will not come back.
The doorman at the entrance, however, was extremely kind. He helped us with parking and even guided us all the way back to the car with...
