BOR'KAN Marrakech — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

What a wonderful venue! I stumbled upon this gem while strolling across the lovely streets of downtown Marrakech, Gueliz. Something made me gravitate towards it, clearly had to do with the beautiful design, colors, atmosphere, and the overall vibe. I went in to check the menu, and quickly noted the warm welcoming by the waiter and the hand sanitizer was handy at the entrance which is always a plus with covid-19 still being out there. Staff were all wearing face masks and are pleasant professional and clean. As soon as I looked at the menu, I noticed a few things I definitely wanted to try. It is a diverse menu with an Asian fusion including brochettes with an Indian or Pakistani options, a Mexican note, steaks, salads,… really diverse. I decided to stay for lunch and I ordered a refreshing super healthy fresh ginger lemon (freshly squeezed lemon and ginger) juice. I ordered a salad that had healthy ingredients: broccoli, Brussel sprouts, green beans, lettuce, carrots, pineapple, mango, tomatoes, red peppers, and a poached egg with a pesto sauce with sesame seeds. Super light super fresh super healthy. I remembered the ingredients because I savored each and every one of them :) The presentation was perfect.I also got chicken brochettes and I chose the Indian ones that had curry and they were just sooo yummy!! The presentation of those too was outstanding with colors and just perfect. I attached a photo. I loved the interior design and colors. It really makes a difference when the seats are comfortable and beautifully arranged. You can tell they put their heart and soul into the business and it shows. This is the first time me and my family have been to Marrakesh. So we were unsure of where to go for dinner. We happened upon this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing, the staff were super friendly and very attentive to our needs. I explained to the waiter that I can’t not read the menu as it’s in French but it wasn’t a problem at all as our waiter very kindly went through the menu with us. We ordered the fillet steak, mixed grilled cheese, strawberry cheese cake and 3 orange juices all of which were very well presented and very cheap, we paid £30 altogether. We loved it so much we came back the next day for more desserts 🍨 Our daughter especially loved all the dry ice shows that our meals came with! Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The waiter was very friendly and attentive to everyone. We even returned the following day to be greeted with a happy, smiling waiter who remembered our names. I recommend the fillet steak or the mixed grill cheese as a main.
