This hotel is advertised as having an indoor pool and childrens area, treatment rooms and mini market. None of these exist ! I cannot understand how the travel agents are getting away with advertising these non-existent facilities, as I particularly booked this hotel for the indoor pool only to be told by the hotel that they had never had one or the treatment rooms etc. Yes they have an outdoor plunge pool but thats it. The food is really bad ie olives, jam, bread and hard boiled eggs for breakfast every day. Even the fruit juice is watered down. My husband and I fully appreciated that there would not be a full variety of food in the evening as we seem to be the only ones on half board, but we were shown into a cold empty restaurant, still with the breakfast crumbs on the tables, and just given the snack bar menu to chose from (mainly burgers, chicken n chips, pizzas etc) The first night there in desperation we chose chicken tagine. This turned out to be a piece of fried chicken covered in chips served in a tagine. Followed by a carton of lemon yoghurt. At the weekend in particular quite a few of the other guests came to breakfast in the pyjamas and slippers! At that point we decided it was a hostel, not a hotel ! It is also in serious need of a clean everywhere, with peeling walls and light fittings coated in thick dust. Maybe in the summer the bar is ok but we found it to be dark and dingy and catering only for men, as I would have been the only female there. Most uncomfortable. When we complained about the food to Mohammed in reception he was clearly embarrassed and did his very best for us, but he knew our complaints were justified. He was brilliant but the odds were against him unfortunately. There must be much better hotels for the money, so do yourself a favour and dont even consider going there. As I said previously perhaps its better in the summer, but it'll still be dirty and dusty with no pool but you may just be lucky enough to have a chef prepare your meals! (oh, and the disco goes on til about 3 in the morning right next door ie no gaps or alleyways between the buildings - right next door)! We will definately go to Marrakesh again as it is brilliant and the people are lovely. We would just give this hotel a...
Read moreOn arriving advised that they didnt have the room that we booked and after 20 minutes of haggling with the staff they eventually gave us a room however advised that the room would be changed the following day to the correct room (unaccomodating of people with medical needs) Unapologetic of errors made by staff. Muslim shower not working in other family room. Not very pleasant smelling. Lock not working on toilet door and also another family door. No shower gel or conditioner. Only had two small sachets of shampoo that would wash a babys head. Small enclosed shower No remote control for AC - had to be switched on via climbing on bed and manually turning it on Balcony door was dodgy - didn't have a secure lock and didn't fully close. Not very safe. Bed sheets had peices of crisps on them and stains. Could tell these were not changed. Socket came out of the wall and i had to reassemble it - safety hazard Half of the bedroom lights not working Room looks bigger in pictures online...
Read moreBased on my recent trip:||||Arriving at the hotel I noticed there are no recent pictures showing the churned up road outside the Hotel. Nor did I read any mention of a Night Club at the Hotel - whether it is run by the hotel I do not know||||The rooms were filhty - Bathroom was cleaned with a rag-of-a-cloth festering with what I would say were pubic hairs and other particles unknown.||||No matter which room I stayed (floor's 3 and 5) in the Night Club noise was ridiculous - If I had known I wouldn't have stayed here.||||The staff were useless; My visit was at the end of the Season - So obviously folk had made their money, and anything extra was a bonus - My experience prior to my trip at the Premier Inn North Terminal...
