This morning I had the pleasure of dining at Gili Kitchen in Meknes with several friends and it was truly a delightful experience. The moment I stepped in, I was immediately captivated by the relaxing atmosphere. Soft music played in the background, creating a soothing ambiance that put me at ease.

One thing that stood out to me was the use of natural timbers, soft decor and the presence of comfy cushions. The combination created a warm and inviting setting, making me feel right at home. The attention to detail is impressive, and it added to the overall charm of the place.

The service at Gili Kitchen was top-notch. I would like to extend my gratitude to Mehdi, who went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and always had a smile on his face.

Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered the shakshouka, which was delicious! The dish was served with a generous amount of black olives, cheese, and olive oil, which added a burst of flavor to the already mouthwatering dish. It was perfectly cooked, and the spices used in the sauce were simply divine. Accompanied by a freshly squeezed orange juice and just baked whole wheat bread, it was a meal that satisfied both my taste buds and my hunger.

Une expérience décevante et surcotée – à éviter

Franchement, je ne comprends pas l’engouement autour de ce coffeeshop. Dès l’arrivée, on est accueilli par un personnel presque agressif pour ne pas dire plus. Le serveur nous a déplacés plusieurs fois, sous prétexte que « l’espace est petit », alors que l’endroit était loin d’être plein. À chaque tentative de trouver un coin un peu plus confortable (ce qui est difficile vu l’inconfort des chaises), on nous refuse sèchement avec un « c’est réservé »….

Le service est sans hospitalité, sans sourire, avec une attitude qui fait clairement comprendre qu’ils préfèrent leur petite clientèle habituée . Si tu ne fais pas part de leur petit runclub, prépare-toi à être traité comme un intrus.

Le café ? Brûlé. Aucune saveur, aucun plaisir, juste amer et mal préparé. Pour un endroit qui se prétend « café de qualité », c’est franchement un comble. Les boissons sont globalement déprimantes, sans inspiration, sans soin.

Et la gestion ? Inexistante. Aucun manager en vue, aucun sens de l’organisation ou de la considération pour le client. On sent un favoritisme flagrant et une mauvaise gestion de l’espace.
