Forno do Indy — Restaurant in Maputo

Disclaimer: While I don't believe this is a completely fair assessment due to the unique circumstances the staff faced—a large group from a convention was present—I feel it’s important to share my experience as it happened.

Upon arriving, I requested a table near a socket so I could work while waiting for my meal. The waitress offered to seat me temporarily until she could arrange the table I requested. Unfortunately, that promise was never fulfilled.

After being seated, it took over 45 minutes to receive a menu, which I had to ask for.

On the plus side, once the menu arrived and I placed my order, the new waiter was much more efficient and engaging, providing a pleasant chat about their range of options. I ordered a prego and tea. The filet mignon prego was surprisingly light and quite delicious.

However, it took another 20 minutes just to get honey for the tea, and my table was then reassigned to a different waiter, who ultimately salvaged the experience with his attentiveness.
