I usually don’t give high ratings but this restaurant is worth it. The foods actually taste amazing and the service was great. The prices might look overpriced but it’s actually worth it. If you prefer western foods then this should be the first restaurant you should go to. Café city has always been my go to restaurants since I was a kid. The original restaurant is actually in mandalay but both yangon and mandalay restaurants are great. Their Australian Beef Steak and Spain rice has always been my favorites and their Vanilla milkshake and Grilled lobster is a must! They actually have a bakery named BBB and their red velvet cake is pretty amazing, moreover they have an ice cream on top of a brownie and they pour a hot chocolate on it. Every foods tastes incredible and all the staffs were kind and polite. There’s plenty of tables to be seated and private rooms so you won’t need to be stressed when you want to talk about businesses or about other things. I’ve always loved food since I was a kid and tried every restaurants in myanmar but none of the restaurants can ever beat Café city.
Bonus: They put on good musics and melody so you won’t have to sit in awkward silence.Plus they serves free delicious garlic...
Read moreThe restaurant is lovely, relaxing ambience and colors. The food is delicious and there is a nice range of options. We have been twice – both times the order of service has been off. We have gone as a couple and as a table of four. Each time at least one of us got our diner before any of the appetizers were served. Last week when my partner’s dinner was served to him before either of us had our appetizer yet, we asked for the appetizers first. They looked very confused, but took away his dinner and brought my appetizer, we waited. My dinner arrived next, before I had finished my appetizer, eventually my partner’s appetizer was served and then they returned the dinner which had been brought out first, which was by now cold. Someone should explain that appetizers come out first and at the same time, not 10-minutes apart. Then when the customers have finished you remove that plate and bring out the dinners – again, not 10-minutes apart. Fix that and...
Read moreNew cafe in town but the cafe is a branch of their already famous restaurants from Mandalay. the place has ample of parking spots and nicely decorated interiors, so instagrammable. Service was smooth despite full house so kudos to the staff. we mainly ordered fish dishes, chicken soup and roasted potatoes and all were presented nicely as shown in the pic with the right amount of seasoning. Crispy rosemary was a great touch on the roast potatoes. they gave complimentary garlic bread as a present and it was the only issue we had. we shouldnt really complaint on the free stuff but the bread isn't baguette but softer and we can imagine they are just trying to suit targeted customers t...
