This was the worst nandos experience I’ve ever had in my LIFE. I thought even the worst food can be palatable if cooked the nandos way but I couldn’t have been more wrong. We were a party of 9 on a very slow Monday afternoon. Half the party was served food and the other half of us had to wait over 40 minutes for our orders! Other people got served before us. Eventually we got up to tell them and turns out they totally forgot about our orders even though we were the largest party there! The food came out burnt and extremely bitter. The orders came out wrong and the worst part the coleslaw had gone BAD. We were served ROTTEN coleslaw. The manager was very kind and professional and agreed there was something coleslaw and gave us new sides to compensate. One person from our party told us they had similar experience so I’m assuming this location needs some serious training. Will not be returning and highly suggest others to not also unless they want to eat burnt bitter food that is served cold and rotten and want to go through the hassle and awkwardness of returning food back to the kitchen

It was good I guess. Nothing out of the ordinary though. Grilled chicken was very well cooked, sauces were limited to a handful, side dishes I have tried were meeeh. Access to the fountain drink dispenser is a bit tedious and requires you to scan a QR code to access a virtual dispenser and you click what you want. While this is very cool as a technological feature, it is, in my opinion, very bad. While eating your chicken with your greasy hands, you'll need to clean them eveytime you neeed a refill, take your phone with you, activate internet (or wifi, not sure they offer that) and use a built-in qr reader in your phone - if you're lucky, or download one. I really don't like it. What about kids? What about ppl that don't have a phone? I'm sure there must be a solution if you ask staff, but that's making it a bit tedious to have a simple refill. Anyway. Staff was nice and friendly. Would I recommend? Myeah, why not. Go try it. If you like it, good for you.

The food is not bad, as it tastes like some Portuguese restaurant from Montreal, but Nando’s is the only place in Ottawa that offers this type of cuisine (from South Africa like their ad states). The service is very unusual from other restaurants, because you have to order at the bar counter by saying your table number, drink, food and how spicy you want your meal to be. You have to pick up the sauces and drinks (even water), but they bring the food to you. They should put the music a bit down, because it is also a family-oriented place. I understand the kind of the music Nando’s play must differentiate from other restaurants, but you also want sometimes to relax your mind and mostly hearing. Other than that, if you love chicken, order the chicken liver, because you cannot go wrong with that and ask “hot” only if you can handle spicy food. The price is correct $14.47 for the meal including two regular sides, see picture.

The food was ok but reasonably priced, the place was beautifully decorated with a great patio and location. However, placing your order is really inefficient and takes the worst qualities of both fast food and table service restaurants, and has difficulty handling a lunch rush.

I've never been more disappointed in service. Arrived at 540, was able to order quickly for myself, a friend, my partner and a toddler. And then our order was I think completely forgotten.

Finally, 45 minutes after ordering somebody came to ask us how the food was and we told them we hadn't had it yet. I usually do not leave bad reviews but this experience deserves it. It was crowded when I walked in. We were asked to prepay for the meal( including tip) and since there was no seating indoors we sat outside. After an hour passes with no service , I went in to check as to what happened to our food.
