Disappointing Experience at Thakkhola Thakali Cuisines, Baneswor, Kathmandu
During my recent visit to Thakkhola Thakali Cuisines in Baneswor, Kathmandu, I must admit that I was left disappointed. Despite having high expectations based on online reviews, my family, consisting of 10 people, found the food and service to be quite unsatisfactory.
The food quality at Thakkhola Thakali Cuisines was below par. The dishes lacked flavour and were not prepared as per our expectations. It was particularly disheartening as the restaurant had been recommended to us for its authentic Thakali cuisine. The taste fell far short of what we anticipated.
Furthermore, the service provided was subpar. The staff seemed disinterested, and it took significantly longer than expected for the food to be served. There was a lack of attentiveness and communication from the restaurant staff, which further added to our disappointment.
As a hotelier (abroad) myself, I understand the importance of maintaining standards. Thakkhola Thakali Cuisines should strive to improve their food quality and service to meet customers' expectations and live up to their reputation.
In terms of suggestions, I would recommend that the restaurant focus on enhancing the flavors of their dishes and ensuring timely and attentive service. Providing proper training to the staff on customer service and communication skills would also be beneficial.
While my experience at Thakkhola Thakali Cuisines was disappointing, I hope that the restaurant takes constructive criticism to heart and works towards improving their offerings. It's essential for any establishment, even those with positive online reviews, to continually strive for excellence in order to meet customer...

Though they call themselve 'Thakali Restaurant' you won't find the taste of authentic thakali food and spices here, even the crokeries doesn't represent the 'Thakali Theme'. But the of the food was tasty and less spicy. They also serve snacks and other starters too. Among the starter, mustange aloo can be tried. If you are looking for snacks or brunch, then you should better find another restaurant since its more specialized for the thali. I had ordered Dhido(Made from Millet wheat) which was freshly cooked and served with mix veg, aaloo bhujia, aaloo cauli gravy, black lentils, boiled green leaf, mulako achar(white radish pickles) green salad and a timy piece of papad. The dhido was well cooked. The aloo cauli gravy's taste was average. Their spacious indoor and outdoor sitting arrangement is enough for group lunch or dinner both for friends and family. They have a cozy coffeeshop which serves fresh...
