We came here on a whim, seeking restaurants that would stay open past 9PM. This place is beautifully decorated with a spacious interior. It feels like you are stepping into a fancy Arabic Shisha/Hookha lounge, with an Italian twist - decorated with portraits of western celebrities. But it works!

I got their butter chicken and rice. It was everything I could have asked for in this dish. I saved half of it for later because I wanted to savor every bite. My friend got a Nepali set dish that came with 5 or so different items served on traditional platters.

The employees are soft spoken and super friendly. The vibes inside are on point. You can smoke inside and it’s very relaxing. Full bar with beers on draft. Plenty of parking and indoor or outdoor seating. This would be a great place to host an event or...

We asked for Warsteiner beer- not available We asked for spicy meat ball- not available We asked for skewered mushroom- not available.

This was 1st of January and yet most of the items we asked were not available.

We ended up ordering pork chilly. Since I am paying 475 rs, I do expect good pieces and enough to share between two people. All we got was 3 fats(boso) and 7 other small pieces.

I would have given one star if not for our main course.

Black pepper restaurant and bar is an quiet oasis tucked away from the maddening crowd in sanepa close to Greenwich Hotel. The atmosphere is incredible with an ensemble of local Nepalese architecture infused with a colonial touch. Comfortable and elegant. The food is good and fresh.. The smoked salmon steak was excellent and the portion was huge compared to other restaurants. Efficient manager who tends to one's need. Fresh juice, cocktails, were all delectable.
