Haopin is hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in town, offering an authentic dining experience with a unique twist. The ambience is warm and inviting, with a well-designed interior that includes a bar and tables embedded with induction cooktops. These allow diners to warm and cook their food at the table, adding an interactive element to the meal that’s fun and engaging.

We ordered the hotpot, which was more than enough for a group of 5-6 people. The hotpot came with a generous variety of items, including two types of meat, mushrooms, tofu, and an assortment of fresh vegetables. The broth was rich and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the restaurant’s well-made sauces. In addition to hotpot, Haopin also offers a range of beverages, including a variety of coffee options and freshly made juices.

One of the standout dishes we tried was the bun dumplings, which come in chicken or buff. These dumplings are truly unique to Haopin, making them a must-try for any visitor. We also had the Taiwanese soup noodles, which were far superior to typical instant ramen, with fresh ingredients and a more authentic taste.

Pricing at Haopin is reasonable — neither too expensive nor too cheap, which makes it a great choice for high-quality Chinese cuisine without...

Hao Pin, nestled in the heart of Lalitpur, is a delightful haven for lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine. The restaurant impresses with its elegant yet cozy ambiance, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and group gatherings. What truly stands out is its extensive selection of vegetarian options, a rarity in Chinese restaurants. Dishes like the Mapo Tofu, Tofu Skin Salad & Spicy Fried Eggplant are flavorful and perfectly balanced, showcasing the chef’s expertise in blending spices and textures.

The service at Hao Pin is prompt and friendly, with staff eager to recommend dishes and cater to dietary preferences. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring great value for money. The interior, with its subtle oriental decor, creates an inviting atmosphere without feeling overdone. Whether you're craving classic Chinese flavors or exploring plant-based dishes, Hao Pin delivers a satisfying culinary experience. It's a must-visit spot for both vegetarians and Chinese food enthusiasts...

NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Came here for a Hotpot but not satisfied.

Service is too slow, we needed to call waiter 3-4 times just to get warm water and 2 bottles of water. Unresponsiveness made us feel low at the very first minutes. We literally played 3 elongated games of Mafia that too after having appetizers.

Hot pot food is less in quantity and taste than other hotpot places. Even the soup of instant noodles is better.

Too much black pepper in foods. I was left burping black pepper even in the morning.

Other foods were fairly good - strictly talking about appitizers. But the portion, oh my goodness, we would get more inside a packet of lays - which is mostly air in itself.

The table for 10 was barely a table for 8. We had to squeeze quite uncomfortably. This to after we made an early enquiry. If they had told us that space wasn't available, we would've opted for a better place. And now i hope this happened.

After the failed dinner, we went to another nearby restaurant for a...

Absolutely delicious experience at Haopin Hotpot! Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The braised pork belly with bok choy was incredibly tender, rich, and comforting without being too heavy. The sweet fillet pork was crispy and coated in a perfectly balanced sweet glaze—one of those dishes you keep reaching for. The sweet pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone soft, coated in a deep, sticky sauce that was full of flavor. And the pea starch noodles (liangfen) were a refreshing surprise—cool, silky, and served in a spicy vinegar-chili dressing that tied everything together. Great food, great service..generous portions, and reasonable prices. Highly recommend Haopin Hotpot if you're looking for authentic flavors done right.
