Had seen this place a few times and after reading the reviews we thought to give it a try. We entered and there was one staff and he saw us and rolled his eyes and turned away. We decided to ignore it, we found ourselves a table and sat down. The staff didn’t bother to come to the table so we called out to him for menus, which he really did not want to do since he was completely hasty with handing them to us. We decided to ignore it again, we asked for a bottle of wine and the one we had picked wasn’t available, so we asked for other options but again he was not interested in showing it to us. Finally, we got ourselves a bottle and put in our lunch order. What a struggle! We had asked him for an ashtray before we stepped out and lit up. Half way through the smoke, the staff came out and told us we weren’t allowed to smoke there. We must have completely missed the sign. Everything was already disappointing and we told him to cancel our order and just bill us for the bottle which we had already opened. He just nodded and got us our bill very quickly! We have worked and run hospitality businesses for a long time and never have we ever treated any of our customers like this nor our employees. We were really looking forward to the food but because of all this we couldn’t which was very sad. We were the only customers when we walked in. This happened on May 1st 2024. Anyway, we took our bottle of wine and walked over to Pebbles at the Square Hotel and had a wonderful lunch, where the staff were actually really friendly...
Read moreWas recommended by a close friend for Italian cuisine... There was no parking at the resturant which was a slight disappointment as I had to park at the basement of hotel square and walk approx 5 min to the resturant. But as I walked into the resturant the I forgot about the parking.... Which had that Italian cafe ambience . Lots of small flower pots..cozy place. The menus was also elaborate with a wide variety of Italian cuisine. We ordered chicken sandwich which was recommended, Meat Lasagne, Pork chops and a sweet lassi. The chicken sandwich was perfectly made in the grilled pita bread. One of the best i have had .Lasagne was perfect size where I could see each layers of pasta and meat cheese oozing out. Pork chops was slightly small but delicious mixed with mushrooms... just wondered if a small portion of mash potatoes or chips served on the side would have be 10/10. The lasssi was not too sweet and loved it. We ended our feast with a Tiramisu which also was not too sweet with that coffee flavour remaining on our taste buds. The firewood oven tempted us to have a pizza but had to save something for next time. Not too overly priced according to the taste. Hospitality was good. Will surely visit again and highly recommended. Again visited on 29th March 2025...pepperoni pizza, meat lasagna and jalkapoor fish was lip smacking good... The standard of food is...
Read moreI can finally say that I've had ravioli at Raviyol in Pulchowk! A hungry bunch of us went to indulge in some Italian food, and it was worth the visit. The spinach and cheese ravioli was good, and the lasagne here is one of the less oily but amazing versions I’ve had. My all-time favorite has to be the chicken Godzilla sandwich—the crisp is the highlight, and it's stuffed well, filling, and delicious. The Margherita pizza was simple yet lovely, with an amazing thin crust. To finish it off, the tiramisu was really good as well.
