Sekuwa by Kilo: A Delicious and Affordable Way to Enjoy Nepali Sekuwa Sekuwa by Kilo is a new Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu that specializes in sekuwa, a grilled meat dish that is a popular street food in Nepal. The restaurant offers a variety of sekuwa options, including chicken, pork, and mutton. You can order sekuwa by the kilo or by the piece. I recently visited Sekuwa by Kilo and tried the chicken sekuwa. The sekuwa was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a juicy, flavorful interior. The marinade was well-balanced and not too salty. I also enjoyed the side of aloo achar, a pickled potato salad that was a perfect complement to the sekuwa. The atmosphere at Sekuwa by Kilo is casual and relaxed. The restaurant is small and cozy, with simple decor. The staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, I had a very positive experience at Sekuwa by Kilo. The sekuwa was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable way to enjoy Nepali sekuwa. Pros: Delicious sekuwa Reasonable prices Casual and relaxed atmosphere Cons: The restaurant is small and can get crowded Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

I believe this restaurant is quite an overrated one since my first ever experience. Went with family of 7. Thought of considering the restro even after seeing lower than 4star review. Physical decorative impression was good...very lit , lively and good welcoming atmosphere. Ordered drinks and food. Taste wise it was amazing no doubt...the sekuwas were okay....goat sekuwa was good. Chicken was average. * Service timing - disappointed - all of us finished our food but one member waited for over 40mins until we actually cancelled and walked out. * Serving size - menu price for cups of coke and hot lemon was okay and first serving was great...however when we ordered more servings of coke and hot lemon, surprisingly their glass container's size got reduced ...i have pics of them as proof but I won't post here yet. After speaking to the supervisor, he had no clue about this....anyway this is just an improvement opportunity. I would personally not step again inside this facility considering how we were treated. But i believe this business has a potential to evolve and do Great.....so for the owners of the facility, please consider long run as opposed to quick intervention.

Overall a definite value for money - the service, the food and the ambience leave very little to complain about. Went there on a wednesday evening, the place was almost fully packed. We did not know a booking was required for prompt seating, but the staff were really courteous and arranged a table for 6 within 5 minutes. The place, even on a weekday, was almost at full occupancy. Yet, the service and the taste of the food was incredible. Maximum of the food arrived in less than 10 mins after ordering. The Timmure mushroom was the highlight of the day for us. alu poleko, pineapple poleko and crispy corn was also great. Sekuwa was fantastic. The only thing that was not up the mark was mutton kalaiya sekuwa and chicken chilli momo, taste of both can be improved. Cocktails were nice. Beer was fresh and cold. Mocktails can be made a bit better. Live music was fun. Will definitely recommend going here for friends hangouts!
