Couldn't taste the food since we didn't get to order, couldn't get to order cause you have to order takeout at the bar, I get that the bar is busy...sure (7-8 persons), but 2 other people serving tables directed us to the waitress at the bar after we told them were taking out but I don't get why they couldn't take the order them selves ? Went to the waitress said "hi hello I'd like to place and order for pickup, looking at me with the blank stare not saying anything, so I begin my order, ordered 3 apps, then she proceeds to tell me after I'm done saying everything how she's busy rn and take my order in a few, waited about 5-8 minutes after already being there for almost 10minutes, waste of time. Call it 15 mins just to place a takeout order ? To the owner, it's a great place, great ambiance, wish I could have tried the food since it smelled good, but service.... terrible. I don't like writing bad reviews at all and definitely not this long, but this situation just rubbed me the wrong way. Hope it...

Since moving to Sint Maarten, we’ve been frequent visitors of Sand Bar, especially because our 4-year-old loves playing in the playground while we enjoy a meal as a family. However, our most recent visit left us disappointed.

We ordered drinks, appetizers, and food, and while my son was playing, the server brought out our drinks first. Later, as she was clearing the appetizer plates before bringing our main course, I helped her with the table, and in the process, my son’s drink accidentally fell—before he even had a chance to take a sip.

I asked if she could replace it, and while she did, I was shocked to see that both the spilled drink and the replacement were charged on the final bill. For a place that caters to families and children, a little understanding and customer care would have gone a long way. As regular customers, we expected better. SEVERE FOOD POISONING FROM THEIR CHICKEN SKEWERS - DON'T ORDER FOOD HERE

I have never had food poisoning this bad in my life. The first time I had the chicken skewers on Friday, I was nauseous all day on Saturday but didn't realize what it was from. That same chicken must have been served to us on Sunday, and 8 hours after we ate it, my husband and I were both vomiting, heaving, fever, chills, aches, and dehydration all night. Luckily my baby didn't eat the chicken when we offered it to him, so he was not sick at all, otherwise he would have been hospitalized and may have died - it was that severe.
