Casino Royale — Attraction in Île des Terres Basses

This casino in the Maho village is fun to go, people is nice and the other customers are chill and friendly. I am personally not used to people smoking indoors so I was a bit shocked and disturbed the guy next to me was smoking, but probably it was just me.

My first time in a casino, but they gave away $10usd just for getting your casino card and another $10 usd in your bday, plus a gift voucher for a small gift in an adjacent jewellery store. The gift is a little chromed charm made in India with a value of less than a pencil, but hey, it's free.

As a newbie, I didn't even tried the tables, I don't understand the game so I was likely to annoy the other players, when I arrived around 8pm the place looked deserted, half the tables were empty or closed.

I went for the slot machines, so flashy, so colorful, so noisy, telling you, "play with me"... but I didn't know how. Anyway I sat at one on a lonely corner to explore it and a bit later s beautiful host came to offer me a drink, it seems that in all casinos drinks are for free, or should I say, for a tip. So if you play don't be stingy and give to the waitress. They are working for you. Actually this waitress started to show me what to do at the slot machine, what to look for, etc. At the end, once you have done you initial selections, it's just matter of pushing one big button so the machine decides to bless you or punish you.

I guess it was my lucky night (and my bday too) because I hit some kind of jackpot so I cashed it and split it three ways with two of the waitress that were treating me like a king. Kept playing, drinking, talking to the ladies, having a great time up to midnight. Time flies when you have fun. By now the place looked packed! Where all these people came from?

Time to go home: 4 hours of entertainment, socializing, drinking whatever I wanted, feeling good, all for the real cost of $20 USD. I spend more than that when I go to the movie theatre.

When I entered the casino I signed up for the slot tournament. The game is simple, You race 5 other players on the slot machine to tap the spin button as fast as possible for 2 minutes. The most button taps wins and goes onto the next round. While playing I noticed my button was very sticky and once pressed it would take 1-2 seconds to pop back up. My machine was the one on the far left when you walk into the casino. After the round was over, I told the attendant and security guard of the malfunctioning button. They looked at the button and after a minute of looking at it they finally agreed the machine was broken. It seemed off when I told them about this issue. It's almost like they did want to hear it or me to make a fuss about it. After they talked to a supervisor they agreed it was broken and I would be re-entered into the next round. Cool I went off playing some more slots and waited for the next round. Additionally they also said they filled a report to fix this machine's button. I waited for 30 minutes but was never called for my next round. I found the attendant to ask why my name was never called and she said, " Because we did not have 3 new players, we could not have another starter round." I said, "Due to the malfunctioning equipment, why was I not just placed into the next round as you told me?" She did not have a good response and made us other false information. I understand casinos are there to make money and provide entertainment, but the way they handled this event was shady and not professional. Interesting, but if this broken button was known about before, the attendant could choose who wins or loses based on where they seated you, thus rigging the slot tournament and choosing who wins...

Had an awesome time here!! Modem and very clean. Dividers between machine’s for cleanliness. Machines are modern. Definitely won And lost! Lost 200 then in last 5 min won 150$ lol…. Probably lost 90$ and was there 4 hours. If I walked away after some wins probably could have made $$ but was addicted to these awesome machines: wheel of fortune, sex in the city, machines just like Vegas. Free drinks. Tipped waitress 2$ each drink because drinks are free and she got me drinks all night. Great great place! Get a card and you get $10. Went solo and was entertained the whole time. And no one harassed me....
