Uit India — Restaurant in Alkmaar

This restaurant is one of the best I ever went to! First of al our waiter was realy nice and thoughtful. he even helped us order and his recommendations where perfect 👌🏼 (he realy knows his dishes!) Second of al, the food was wonderful theres loads of options and amazing vegan alternatives. We chose to do a mix of everything, and it was so good😋 I especially liked the lamb massala, butter chicken and garlic naan. I also realy liked the chai! We took some desserts, I chose the gulab jamon and ice cream because I heard a lot about it and it definitely lived up to its name. the ice fantasie was i bit small for its price so thats unfortunate, but my sister took the mango and it was realy great it was even home made!(That chef must be realy skilled!!) We couldn't even eat it al because the portion are so big so they put it in take away boxes! definitely worth the price. The atmosphere was realy great. I like the decor choice and the Indian music realy helped with the style they where going for. Attended this restaurant on Friday evening, I'm normally not one to make reviews but I feel this place definitely deserves it! Even though the restaurant was very busy, the staff was amazing and a very quick service! Onto the food, I only had poppadoms with some chutney but even they was great, for main I ordered the Lamb masala, before I even tasted the food I knew it was going to be great! And it was, piping hot, the lamb was so tender and full of flavour, this really was the best Indian meal I've ate in a very long time and I travel around the world alot and Indian food id one of my favourites so I've ate in many restaurants. If you are in Alkmaar go and give this place a try, you won't regret it! Already can't wait to go back next...

Came to this restaurant as one person vegan and 2 prefer vegetarian and 1 meat eater who happy with vegetarian. From the welcome from owner to facilities like super clean loos and restaurant to wonderful freshly prepared food was wonderful. The food was just so tasty and the herbs and spices just tasted so freshly prepared . The person who had meat alternative said it was wonderful and would not know. The vegan and veggies amongst us were delighted to have such a healthy choice of options. We were able to ask for spice levels too . Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
