Copper Branch was founded by Rio Infantino in Montreal, Canada, at the end of 2014 in two locations, and in 2015 several more restaurants opened. And from October 2021, people got to know their delicious recipes in the Netherlands, starting from Utrecht. With the creation of Copper Branch, a balance has been found between delicious food, animal welfare and saving the planet. Researchers at the University of Oxford found that a plant-based diet would cut food emissions by up to 73%, and would require 7.6 billion less farmland. "This will reduce the stress on the world's rainforests and free the land back into nature," says Joseph Poore, lead researcher and PhD in Philosophy and Environmental Studies at the University of Oxford. In addition to factory farming and animal welfare aspects, the main environmental benefits of a plant-based diet include a reduction in the overall carbon footprint, improved water conservation and air quality, and reduced ocean dead zones. Rio Infantino gave up ownership of fast food franchises, but began to look to the future, which eventually became Copper Branch. By taking control of his own diet, he was motivated to build a quick service restaurant that didn't sacrifice health and quality for speed. And his son Andrew Infantino, who is the director of marketing, said: "We hope that as we raise awareness and promote our mission in different places, we can continue to grow." Copper Branch's mission is rooted in their approach to food and a vision that goes beyond culinary pleasure. They are convinced that every meal should strengthen both our well-being and the well-being of our planet. With each dish, a story of conscious nutrition is created, where taste, health and environmental friendliness are harmoniously combined. It is the beginning of a movement that has inspirational, educational and transformative aspects. With every bite of this food, we celebrate a plant-based lifestyle and cause a wave of positive change. The menu includes unique and, above all, very tasty gluten-free burgers, wraps and bowls with spicy falafel or the famous caramelized shiitake. It's more than just food—it's a combination of nutrients and taste that's sure to delight your taste buds, where delicious and healthy dishes meet a commitment to saving our planet. There is something tasty for everyone! We chose "Azteekse bowl" with falafel and "Copper club sandwich" with crispy soy chicken, so that the chicken🐔 will remain happy and can continue to lay golden eggs and enjoy...

Bad and unfriendly service. Nobody was interested in helping or answering questions. They ignored us twice. Then I figured out we could also order with the QR code; none of the servers pointed this out when we sat down. But I thought, maybe they were having a bad day, and I would let the food speak. It only got worse from there. Their famous award-winning burger must have been famous for its terrible and fatty taste. They didn't give me a fork for the salad, so I used it as a topping on my burger because the burger tasted of nothing. Also, the onion rings were probably made a few hours ago and reheated in the microwave (sloppy and sour). To top it all off, you overpay for all of this. Just to add to this, the bathroom was filthy. The two ladies who were cleaning were chatting in the corner, uninterested in doing their work. My advice: don't go here! My advice to the establishment: if you win an award, try and maintain that standard, because...
Read moreWent for brunch here today, since its a new place! Had high hopes, turned into a sad dream really quick. Not a single employee said a word, and seemed busy on either a laptop or busy talking to other employees, might have been change of shift. Luckely all is straight forward with ordering, so we got our food.
Burger with a bun like its from the opposite side of the street(mcd) burger sized the same, fries almost as if they were microwaved, nothing crispy just soggy and oily. The corn was soft and completely scarred, i understand some scarring, but some of the corn turned into coal. The wraps were pretty good, and freshly made, however small aswell for the prices.
Best thing were the drinks! Tasted great and refreshing! But for a total price of 16euro per meal, not a great time overall!
Wont be coming back unfortunatly, sad since the lunchscene in almere could use a good...
