They have mice. It has been one week since we were there. My partner and I went for an early dinner, we thought it would be something kind of different. As soon as we were done eating, a mouse ran alongside the bar and went through a tiny space in the bar behind the glasses on the wall. Let me explain why this is problematic, both as a restaurant in general, and as a place that markets themselves as an American restaurant. If you are going to market American food, you had better learn how to share some good ol' American customer service. Let me be very clear, if this restaurant has mice, which they admitted to me had been a problem, then ALL of the restaurants in that portion of the Citymall Almere have mice. Mice are relentless and where there is one, there are thousands more. There was zero professionalism extended to us after we alerted them to the mouse. Rather than a manager approaching us and maybe extending a kind apology, our poor server walks over and nervously asks if I could show her where the mouse went. Rodent infestations are serious and should be approached by professionals. They are typically nocturnal creatures, so the fact that this one walked out in broad daylight for food to take back to its nest tells a story of how many there have to be. I'd light the place up with a black light and follow their urine trails. The kitchen area is open, easily accessible to rodents and whatnot, and not one person seemed concerned. Despite the mouse problem, the food is mediocre at best. My pulled pork was reheated in a microwave. There are about 3 great restaurants in all of Almere. This sadly isn't one of them. Read moreAfter wanting to try Hudson for ages, we finally were able to but had a very underwhelming experience. While our waiter was friendly, the attention to detail was lacking.
There are no kids meals mentioned on the menu and we had to ask if there were options and then we were told about it.
We waited over 45 mins and only received our drinks. With no waiter in sight, we eventually had to go find someone to ask. We were then told that kitchen lost our receipt and would start making the food. We therefore received our food close to an hour after ordering. The starters (tacos and bread with aioli) were ok but the mains (ribs and crayfish stew) were very underwhelming, lacked flavour and seasoning. My daughter was too tired to eat her kids burger as it only arrived close to 9pm so it went to waste.
We then went to pay and I noticed a dessert on the bill. I was then told this was part of the kids meal but we were never informed of this or offered the dessert. I therefore asked for it to be taken off the bill.

Nice atmosphere, burger I ordered was tasty (Famous Hudson burger), but my boyfriends burger "The Mexican" in a wrap, was hard to eat (big, dripping fat wrap) and didn't have much flavor (do not recommend). Service was very poor! 1) Our table was not clean and had a bird poop! :D 2) we had just drink menu and nobody bothered to bring us a food menu. So after waiting couple of minutes, we helped ourselves with getting menus from the bar. 3) they brought us food, but without forks or knives. Waitresses were not very around if you have any quosetion or etc. So we helped ourselves again! 4) after we finished our food and drinks, I think we could of just walk away and nobody would of noticed that we left without paying our bill.
