Curtis cafe — Restaurant in Amersfoort

I went here with a friend for lunch. We sat inside on the left from the entrance, since the terrace was full, and ordered drinks and two burgers.

When coming in it is quite obviously more of a pub/café then a lunch or dinner place, but the burgers, though a little pricey, where great. They came without fries, so we ordered some fried chicken and the chef was kind enough to give us one extra piece, since 7 was hard to devide in two ^^

When we came in, the terrace was full, and some other costumers where inside, but during our stay it got even busier. The two young ladies that worked there where realy busy, and though they also where realy friendly, it was verry hard to get their attention to order anything from the table, so most of the time we had to get up and order it at the bar, wich wasnt too bad, as that was abt two steps from our table, but i did feel that after waving multiple times, and not getting noticed, for more then 30minutes, multiple times, was a little frustrating. Granted, i do believe they where the only 3 people working at the time, as even the chef pinched in eventually, and brought the food to the tables himself.

Anyhow, all in all, the service was unattended and slow, but verry friendly, and the food was good. Inside it was a little chilly, but i bet with the sun out, the terrace was nice. Our table had sticky spots from drinks from someone before us, but the toilets where clean. Once they are able to hire more staff i wouldnt mind...

November 2021. Ongelofelijk vies weer. Mijn dochter en ik nemen plaats op het totaal lege terras, onder een parasol. Want tja dat moest als ongevaccineerden. Helaas, geen koffie voor ons en we werden gesommeerd het terras te verlaten en de stromende regen in te gaan. ‘Voor een prikkie mag je erin’. Zelfs even wachten op droger weer was verboden… Ik weet nog steeds niet wat ik moet zeggen, maar op dat moment heb ik de rottigheid van de mensheid gezien. Op een terras...

Great bar in Hof Square Central Amserfoort. Staff are friendly. Bar shows sporting events on big screen. There is plenty of outdoor seating. DJ...
