It’s amsterDAM SO Good!👏
From authentic Korean staples to unique specialties at its best, Damso just gets it right.
Begin with Gaesal or Pajeon for perfectly flaky Krn pancakes~ (Go for Yukhwe if you want the Krn version of beef tartare/carpaccio)
Staples Bibimbap (so perfect!), Bulgogi, Ttok Po Kki will not disappoint!
If you are up for a spicy food challenge, go for the smoky spicy Bul-Dak 🔥(but don’t go over lv.2…)
Any of the grilled meat and piping hot Tji Kes (hot soups) are all recommended especially in the upcoming Dutch weather.
Korean Fried Chicken is a must so if its you are already full by now, make sure to get take-out which will be great for late night snack 🍗 (Korean chicken can also be enjoyed cold for crispier and sweeter experience)
No complete Korean experience is complete without “Ssomak” where you have to mix beer with a cup of Soju, so get this if you want the whole package. 🍻
Damso isn’t just about the food, but its hospitality from the owners and staff, and clean and comforting atmosphere will be perfect for...
Read moreWent out for dinner last week for my birthday. I have been to Damso many times before and I can’t get enough of their food!
We’re all a little stubborn and don’t try a lot of new food when we are there, we just order what we know is amazing;
Kimchi pancake, a pancake made out of, well, kimchi! And served with a soy sauce based sauce. A very nice appetizer to start out with.
Bi Bim Bap, a rice dish with beef, mushrooms, vegetables and gochujang. I loved it so much the first time i was there that i started to make it at home! Highly recommend it.
Pork bulgogi, spicy marinated pork served with onions. The flavors in this dish are amazing, i love to eat it with my Bi Bim Bap, or a side of white rice.
The staff and customers are always friendly, and the food doesn’t take too long to reach the table.
My only critique is that I prefer the previous interior, but I can see why they went for a more modern look.
Conclusion, I highly recommend going to Damso, they have great food and...
Read moreI have been here several times. The dishes in general are nice but small portions, thus relatively expensive. Meaning I had better quality (or at least, personal taste) and more fulfilling portions in similar restaurants (authentic Korean a la carte).
The first time I came here was my first authentic Korean restaurant in NL. I ordered a classic bibimbap and it made me dislike bibimbap. It had hardly any meat but I learned that wasn't necessary always the case since I liked bibimbap in other restaurants later.
The most recent time we tried a lot of dishes and it was tasty, just not fulfilling as I was still a little hungry afterwards...
Sure, the interior doesn't add points to the atmosphere but the staff is usually helpful and kind. Parking might be tricky around that area but there is a parking area on walking distance. Personally it is not my #1 favourite Korean restaurant in NL but I would recommend to try this place if...
