Fluffy Cafe/Restaurant — Restaurant in Amstelveen

When taking my order of mint tea with a bag of earl grey the waitress looked at me like this was the weirdest order she had ever heard. Not a service oriented reaction on a rather standard order.

All communication in English was going well until we received our breakfast bowl and the poached eggs were completely cold on the inside. When trying to explain that it was cold instead of warm, all of the sudden language became an issue and the reaction was “I don’t know what it means warm and cold” (???). Finally we got the message across and our bowls were taken to the kitchen to place new eggs on top of the rest of our dish. Our dish was not replaced entirely like you would expect. The cold eggs still underneath it and mixed with the rest of the food. We did not enjoy our meal.

It’s indeed nice to have a spot where kids can enjoy too while parents eat there, but kids were literally screaming all the time. If parents can’t manage their kids at least the restaurant owner should take care of other guests too.

Also at payment there were difficulties as no receipt could be printed. Of course I have respect and patience for new entrepreneurs but this way you won’t have returning guests. Below standard food, service and atmosphere and won’t return...

We’ve been here twice now, and both times were terrible. The first time, we had to wait a very long time for our food. When it finally arrived, my partner’s meal had been forgotten, and when they went to “quickly” make it, that took another 30 minutes. No apology, no gesture, nothing to make up for the long wait.

Today we thought we’d give it another try since the food itself is good. Again, the service was disappointing. We were seated at a table, and after about 10 minutes we were asked to move because we were “only two people.” Why seat us there in the first place? The food is great, but the service is awful.
