Lucia's Zuidas — Restaurant in Amstelveen

Came in for lunch today. We were the only people in the restaurant and we each ordered a grilled cheese which was said on the menu to come with salad. Sandwiches finally arrive to the table over half an hour later after watching the waiters laugh around for the first twenty minutes not making our food. The sandwhiches arrive with no salad. We eat our sandwhiches still expecting the salad then we go up to the bar to inquire about the salads. The staff mills around confused for awhile ya having to point out that it says on the menu that there is salad included. The salad comes after another ten minutes and we leave soon after to see that a large group that arrived not long before we finished eating is being served their food not even ten minutes after...

The food is nice, but the service is just terrible. We stayed at Cityden and tried to dine here several times but managed to succeed only twice. This place has weird working hours: dinner/lunch is served only for a few hours in the evening and at other times they only offer "bites". The final straw was when we came for dinner around 8 PM and were told they couldn't serve us because they had a large group of 10-12 people, even though the restaurant had plenty of empty tables and was clearly not full. We were told to come back in 40-60 minutes. When we returned at 9:02 PM, we were told the kitchen was already closed. What a joke. We came to this restaurant 3 days in a row mostly because of the location and there is nothing else around here. The first 2 times were good and we were served on the rooftop and enjoyed the experience. The 3rd time might have been the worst experience I have had in my 16 days in Europe. I waited almost 20mins at the bar just to get an order in and then was told they don’t serve the rooftop area. A complete lie or laziness. After ordering just 2 drinks my wife waiting at the bar still took about 15mins. Not sure our food will even make it out. Do not come for lunch or at least when some stuff are working. Never again. Left a sour taste in my mouth for the whole trip now. Thanks but no thanks...
