Matcha mille crepe cake is such a delight!

Love this petite little cafe in the corner of the street! BLUE is the game at this place as well for the name AO 青, which is also my fav color =). Its located near Central Station Amsterdam and the "westerpark" and easy to take/go with the bus.

This cafe has delicious coffee and matcha latte, the pastries have japanese influence as for the matcha flavored cheesecakes or cookies. I also tasted their white sesame rasphberry cheesecake and it was delicious! Not too sweet and thats exactly what I like, Canelés are a must! They make it very well, with even caramelization on every part.

If its possible DO ORDER THE SANDWICHES! You won't regret it as it tastes amazing

It is always nice to discover beautiful places a few steps away from home. The discovery of AO 青 was particularly pleasant.

On the Van Hallstraat in the center of a residential neighborhood, it is located the AO 青 bar, whose design and minimalism has a strong Japanese look and feel. As a matter of fact, AO 青 in Japanese means "Color" and it is actually the blue color of the floor with the white of the walls, that give the bar a seraphic feeling.

The pictures on the wall and decorations also help even more to let the customer enter an almost mystical atmosphere.

The delicious coffee was roasted specifically for AO 青 by @monks_coffee_roasters.

Nice place to visit for coffee during the weekend just two blocks from Westerpark!

I have never been treated this kindly in a public space. I was having a bad day and met up with a friend. Eventually I was crying (pretty embarrassing). The barista that was working today came over, gave me some tissues, a bottle of water and a plate with left over cake to comfort me. Absolutely the sweetest thing. I honestly dont like Amsterdam cafes as staff is mostly a bi snobby but today made up for all bad experiences. Fantastic staff. Tostis looked fantastic. Im a little sad I didnt order one. Coffee was om point. Cake was lovely. Would absolutely go again and 10/10 would recommend. P.s. super dog friendly. Saw so many happy fluffs...
