How do you describe home in a way that only has the good feelings and connections and well... to be honest.. better food than you can remember. ..?

This place is home to me! -In all the good ways.

Every morning we peak out our window to see if Jaap is open.. if the Paviljoen is open. .. see, the place has a name, Het Paviljoen, but it's heart, and the heart of the whole of Van Beuningenplein is called Jaap. So, we look to see if Jaap is open. .. even if we know he's not open today.. we look anyway.

When we see the yellow and blue tables outside we come running!! I am hooked on his chicken sandwich! -true story. ..also, as a side note, that to me is all kinds of super awesome... you can order a 'Jeff' there. It's the only place in whole of the verse that you acn order a Jeff'. .. it's a proper size coffee. :)

This place must be amazing in summer, today (March) we didn't get to enjoy the roof terrace or outdoor tables. We did get to enjow the food! Quality as well as presentation of the food is much better than what you might expect from a casual looking place. It could have been easily been served in a more fancy restaurant. Everything was home made (even the mayonaise that came with the fries, but also the apple pie and 'boterkoek' that came with the coffee). They have a nice concept where you can order all dishes (including starters) as half portions as well, perfect if you want to share. The only thing that could be improved was about the door. There's a huge floor to ceiling glass door which lets in a gust of cold air when opened. On cold windy days, they might be better off just using the small door on the side. Super...

Amazing staff, we booked a party and had loads of fun! We could decorate the place, were able to play our own music, danced all night. Was also surprisingly very cheap!
