We reserved our table today at 11:45 from the official webpage. What we didn't know is that the bars and restaurants can open from 12 but then again you would expect for that kind of info to be visible from the official webpage aswell as disabling the option to reserve at first place. The worst possible way to learn that is to come to the bar personally just to find out about it.
But mistakes can happen and it was not the reason I am writing this review.
The reason for this review is because of how the server handled this situation and in what kind of manner. After we introduced ourself and said about reservation and we found out about the openings the hard way, servers response was "we don't make regulations" and he didn't seem to acknowledge the possibility that webpage might have the problem. Insted he could say "could you give us a second so we figure out if there is anything we can do to fix this" or "lemme call the manager" or "I'm really sorry for this inconvenience" or just basically if he pretended like he cared.
The situation became awkward when we tried to communicate if we should go home or perhaps wait a bit if there are any free tables (which is weird because it should never be up to customer to actually think instead of the server) but he seemed like some weird combination of confusion and if he couldn't care less with lack of response or willingness to do anything.
What makes this whole situation really funny is that we were not even upset or angry but it was us trying to figure out stuff that appears to be the job of a server. At some point in this one minute encounter the second server joined but he was not of any help either. It felt like it was too hard for first server to give any kind of information and just wants us to go away.
After this funny situation and before we went back home we stood few minutes in front of Lely asking ourself if this really happened and how hilarious and awkward the whole situation was.

The food is not great and the service is very slow. my friend had to wait so long before she got her drink and salad, that her main course was already cold. No, very bad experience at the Lely!!
I would never go back to this Restaurant. Please don't downplay this situation, as you are under staffed and there is no way your restaurant is safe. It is an insult that you think with offering a diner at Lely that all is forgotten. The way how your staff reacted, tells me that this is not the first time. Obviously the police has priorities and will not come and do an investigation, as they are busy with more important stuff than look for a bag, which is understandable.

I ordered a chicken Caesar which I feel is a fail safe option. At 11.50 euros as well, what could go wrong? Well, how about let’s start with raw chicken. I flagged it to a server who sent it to the kitchen who sent it back to me saying that the pink meat with blood on it was cooked and told me in so many words to “take his word for it because he also thought it was raw at first”.
