I have never felt so disrespected in a Subway store anywhere in the world as I did yesterday in Amsterdam. My wife and I walked in simply to have a meal. We saw the menu showing different wrap sizes, so we politely asked the attendant about the size. Instead of a normal answer, he looked at us with a strange smirk and said, “wrap is a wrap.” We let it go, thinking maybe he was just having a bad day. But as we continued asking questions - like anyone would in a Subway when choosing their mix - his attitude remained dismissive, cold, and almost mocking. My wife grew uncomfortable and finally asked him directly, "Why are you being rude? Did we do something wrong?" What he replied next left us shocked. With the same smirk, he said, "I noticed you are Indian." When my wife asked what being Indian had to do with his behavior - especially since he himself admitted he was from Haryana, India—he had no answer, just the same sarcastic, insulting smile. This was not someone "having a bad day." We saw him before and after serving us, chatting normally with his colleague, completely different demeanor. Which makes his behavior toward us deliberate. We have lived in Amsterdam for years, and have traveled across many countries. Never have we been made to feel so uncomfortable, belittled, and unwelcome - especially not at a global brand like Subway, which is supposed to stand for inclusivity and hospitality. I cannot understand how the franchise allows someone with this kind of attitude to serve customers, let alone in such a central and prominent location in Amsterdam. I truly hope the responsible management takes this seriously. Such behavior is not acceptable anywhere in the world, and certainly not in a place that represents an international food chain. Customers deserve respect - regardless of where they come from.

I was to learn the driving lesson but suddenly felt uncomfortable. I entered the Subway nearby. I: I am sorry but could I use the toilet? An old lady: Put 50 cent into the box, and you can use the toilet! I: Thanks. Can I use the pin card to pay? She: Please put 50 cent into the box!! I walked around and did not see the toilet sign. I: OK. Where is the toilet? She: Please use 50 cent into the box, and then you can use the toilet!!! I: ??? It is not a matter of 50 cent, but her rude manners and being impatient (when there is no guest that time).

Excuse me but the opening hours start at 8am. We are standing right now in front of the place, with the staff looking at us and no urge to open the door. I’d give zero stars but it’s not possible. Please explain them that this is unacceptable.

My first time ever visiting a Subway. Decided on a salad and was standing at the paypoint. The lady asked if she can help me and I wanted to order a salad. She then said together with the girl standing behind the food that I need to order on that side. There were NO signs to indicate what is expected of a customer!!! I ordered a chicken, bacon and avocado salad. The girl looked very confused and I had to repeat myself and show her on the display. She then looked at what I think were notes stuck at the back of the counter. She started the salad by piling chicken, bacon and cheese and heat it up in the oven.... ??? It is a SALAD and that means cold food!!! She started to build the salad and added basically everything... chillies, corn, etc and topped it off with this heated chicken, bacon and cheese on top. She asked if it was fine and I asked her about the avocado. She said it will cost extra. Really????? It is a salad which you advertise as Chicken, bacon and advocado salad!!! She eventually topped it with some guacamole but luckily didn't charge me for it. The photo shows pieces of avocado... not guacamole. I had a bad experience and will not go back. After all this the salad itself was...
