Bloem op IJburg — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I came here with a group and had the antipasto as an appetizer which was amazing (see picture). That being said, although the bar was set high the rest of our experience here went downhill. After finishing our appetizer we waited half an hour before we asked if our main was coming. The waitress said yes we're making it now, since you had an appetizer we waited to make your mains. I don't think ordering an appetizer means that a customer wants to eat it then wait half an hour before the main is even started on. The staff seemed too busy to help customers but took the time to take multiple breaks to smoke just during the time we were there. Also when the main did come it wasn't worth the wait or even taste good. I ordered a pizza and the dough was very dry and dense, it seemed like it was very old. If you want pizza, walk down the street to Il Sogno, it is not as expensive and much much better. Also when the bill came the appetizer was €20 which is a lot given it was advertised on a chalk board not displaying the price and was more expensive than any of the main dishes. Should be one star but the antipasto was very good, I'd recommend coming here for a beer or glass of wine with a small dish to accompany. Do not come here...

From the moment I walked in, we were welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly blended elegance with a cozy, relaxed vibe. 6.50 euro for bottled water! We asked for tap water and got bottle instead. We were fine but then blown away with the ridiculous cost! We tried the pizza and it was ok. Not what you get in Italy but better than fast food pizza. Tough and dry dough. We did appreciate the fesh ingredients and outdoor seating. Service was a bit on the cold side- no eye contact or greetings or questions even though it was quiet in the restaurant. Maybe we went on an off day. If you are in ijburg and want Italian food, then this is a decent option for Italian food in the...
