During our recent trip to Amsterdam, we stumbled upon a hidden gem that completely redefined our dining expectations. Nestled near our Airbnb, Bunk is a restaurant that not only delivers on quality but surpasses it in every imaginable way.
The menu at Bunk is a testament to creativity and finesse. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, both in taste and presentation. The freshness and flavor of the ingredients were evident in every bite, each component thoughtfully selected and expertly combined. It's clear that Bunk takes immense pride in sourcing the best ingredients, transforming them into artful creations that delight the senses.
On our first night, we were so impressed that we decided to return the following evening to explore more of the menu. Amazingly, each dish we tried the second night was just as spectacular as the first, if not more so. The consistency in quality and the continuous surprise of new flavors left us in awe. It's rare to find a restaurant that excels across the board, but Bunk manages to do just that.
The drinks were another highlight of our experience. Each cocktail was crafted with the same attention to detail as the food, perfectly complementing the dishes and enhancing the overall dining experience.
In our opinion, Bunk is hands down the best restaurant in Amsterdam. It’s a hidden treasure that deserves to be celebrated. If you find yourself in this beautiful city, do yourself a favor and visit Bunk. Trust us, it’s an experience you won’t...
Read moreThe place is lovely and so are the staff however i wouldn't eat here again.
My partner and I went for a quick bite after a long flight as we were staying in the hotel attached, when we walked in we were unsure if we were supposed to wait to be seated or just sit down ourselves as there was no indication of what to do. When we sat dow, we were presented with a very small menu with food that sounded nice but was VERY overpriced. My partner ordered a burger with fries (which cost an extra €3.50 btw) and i ordered a ham sandwich. The burger arrived and it was very mediocre and was not at all worth €14.50 (€18 including the fries which too were just ok) the sandwich i had was tiny but delicious however i wouldn't charge almost €10 for something so small.(also most of the food is vegetarian/fish related)
If you are staying in the hotel or nearby I wouldn't recommend eating here as it's a waste of money and there are soo many places in Amsterdam that are cheaper and better. I will also say it again that it is no fault of the staff at all and our disappointment is caused by the...
Read moreThe place looks beautiful, but unfortunately we did not feel welcome at all. We asked for a table for two to enjoy some drinks, but they assumed we were going to have dinner. When the waiter asked what we would order, we said we were fine just with drinks for the moment. His response was: “Remember that I only gave you the table because you were going to dine, not just have drinks. If you’re not going to eat, I have the right to ask you to move when someone who wants to dine arrives.”
We never said we were there for dinner! Don’t hold us responsible for your assumptions.
Only five minutes later, he came back and asked again: “So, are you going to eat something or not?” At that point, we decided to leave. Although they offered the drinks on the house because of the situation, it honestly didn’t make up for the unpleasant experience. We felt pressured and practically pushed out.
Next time, simply ask your guests whether they’re here for dinner or just for drinks. I wouldn’t return to this place—not even if...
