Buno Coffee Hoofddorpplein — Restaurant in Amsterdam

One of my new fave “brunch & crunch” spots outside of the city - as it is a great space for getting breakfast/lunch but also for sitting down with your laptop and work/study! Usually, from what I’ve experienced, the busy moments are between 12pm and 3pm, but afterwards (and in any case with some headphones in/on) you can just chill and focus in a quiet but nice atmosphere.

The toasties, warm drinks and smoothies here are great, and you get a lot for what you pay (my faves are the veggy toastie and dopyaza, together with their delicious chai latte). I also love that they have lots of vegan options - in terms of both drinks and food!

The only minor downside, I would say, is that the type of service is a bit ambiguous - meaning, depending on who is serving that day, it seems as if it is self-service (getting/asking for your own menu and ordering at the counter; also for second orders or when you’re finished it looks like they can be a bit slow with paying attention), while it looks like a restaurant that offers table service. However, as mentioned, this isn’t always the case.

Despite that, the staff is in any case very nice and friendly. So everyone just goes with the flow eventually, and enjoys their time here!

All in all, still one of my fave spots now, and I (will) keep...

Thank you Hamid for you email. We enjoyed our visit to Buno once again. We ordered two sandwiches and two smoothies and a bananabread. Banabread was very nice and not dry at all, would definitely recommend it! Too bad the cheese bread was already sold out! But those are great too!

I used to go to this place frequently in 2024. Well and usually I think this place is ideal to get a bite or drink, this time I got the worst experience ever. On the counter I said that I was going to sit in the corner. While I was seated, I waited for more than 30min and I was still ignored by the staff. They only had attention for each other and were not helpfull to the tables who wanted their attention. And I was not the only one, two other tables had not been helped too this was around 4pm. After the wait I walked out of the place without ordering anything...

At least the place is dog friendly.

2024 Recommended item: Avocado smash sandwich with goatcheese YUM. You can taste the freshness of the warm bun

Nice coffee place in Amsterdam West! Placed exactly around the roundabout "hoofddorpplein" Try the cheese balls (glutenfree) and toasties its delicious.

Update The issue has been solved. All coffee can get points now except smoothies. Love the attitude🥰 ‼️RIDICULOUS EXPERIENCE

I have purchased an iced latte here, and the cashier refused to give me reward points because she said only hot latte can earn points.

I have ordered iced lattes many times and have always been able to accure points. And the cashier said it was her colleague’s mistakes for giving reward points for buying iced lattes.

And this point, I don’t know WHY I couldn’t get my reward points today, since there aren’t any declaration on the reward card for only ICED beverages can earn points. What’s the difference between iced lattee and hot lattee???

This experience had left me feeling very dissatisfied and disappointed. I hope this shop will take each costumer seriously and respect their rights. I used to be a loyal costumer for this coffee shop,at this time, I am not sure if I will...
